TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR

OPPORTUNITY:

The Technology Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring the efficiency of systems to meet project deliverables, and preventing delays in operations. The Technology Coordinator will mainly provide helpdesk support to our staff and volunteer network and assist in the creation of tech policies and processes for the organization. The Technology Coordinator will also support Technology Department tasks and projects, like user migrations or setting up new services. We’re ideally seeking an inidual with a skillset of Help Desk Level II or comparable experience.

This is a hybrid position. The Technology Coordinator will work remotely, but must be able to access our office in San Clemente, CA as-needed.

Reports to: Sr. Technology Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist administering Google Workspace, including account creation, recovery, and migrations.
  • Provide various tech assistance to staff and the chapter network as needed, identifying and troubleshooting common computer and networking issues
  • Provisioning new computers for staff: Configuring laptop accounts, log-ins, programs installation and more
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of hardware and depreciation of assets, providing new equipment and upgrades as needed
  • Troubleshooting: Mac OS configuration, network settings
  • Case/Ticket Management – Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Interfacing with staff and volunteers by email and by phone.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Must-haves:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Help Desk Level I experience, and must currently be at Help Desk Level II
  • Good communication skills and prior customer service experience
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Willingness to e into documentation
  • Comfort and effectiveness with spreadsheets

Good to have, but not required:

  • Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification
  • Experience working within a non-profit setting

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

The Surfrider Foundation offers a salary that is competitive with other national, not-for-profit conservation organizations.

The salary range for this position starts at $70,000.

Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage monthly premiums compensated 100% by Surfrider Foundation, Long-Term Disability insurance, Employee Assistance program (EAP), Section 125 Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401(k) plan with partial employer matching. Surfrider also provides paid holidays, vacation and sick time.
