Crema is a digital product agency specializing in design, technology, and innovation culture.

We partner with teams who need to build exceptional digital experiences that move their business forward. Our small, cross-discipline teams combine their sets of erse skills in custom agile consulting, product management, and design thinking to help iniduals and organizations thrive.

We’re passionate about what we do and who we do it with. At Crema, we live by our values and are looking for values-aligned teammates to join us in building something special! We’re not looking for conformists, we want iniduals with erse perspectives that help shape our company for the better.

While we have an office in Kansas City, we are a “Work from Anywhere” company so this is a remote position available to anyone based in the United States.

About The Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented person with experience working with digital products to join our Product Management team. Crema Product Managers are conscious leaders responsible for guiding effective collaboration with our clients and product teams. They ensure that all client engagements and products are thoughtfully planned, that goals are effectively created and communicated between the client and production team, and that the collaborative experience is professionally executed.

At Crema, we craft our product teams to solve hard problems – client problems and business problems – in ways that our clients and their customers love, yet work for their business. Our product teams are cross-functional and resilient, generally comprised of a product manager, a product designer, a test engineer, and several developers.

What You’ll Do

Your primary focus will include contributing to your product team a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the client business – constraints from marketing, sales, service, finance, legal, and privacy are typical examples. You must also contribute to the product team a deep knowledge of the client's users and customers, and the data about how their customers engage with our products. Finally, you will be expected to track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to their products.

While each member of the product team may be accountable for a specific risk, we look for product managers that understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the product team contributing their passion and their ideas. The product manager must collaborate closely with their product designer, developers, and testers to discover effective solutions, and then collaborate together to deliver those solutions to market.

This job, as with the other roles on the product team, is an inidual contributor role. You will need to be able to influence your teammates, as well as clients, their stakeholders, and key executives, through your use of data and logic.

Requirements

About You

You have experience working with clients and/or stakeholders, to plan and execute projects; including skills such as digital project management, conflict resolution, collaborative problem solving, strong communication, and bouncing between macro and micro thinking. Any agency experience will be considered a plus for any candidate, though it is not required.

You have experience leading product teams through the stages of the product development lifecycle using agile methodologies, best practices, and frameworks. You also have experience leading and coaching cross-functional teams, while working on multi-faceted products for extended periods of time.

You understand how to navigate enterprise-focused work, specifically the differences from B2C approaches to B2B approaches, and can navigate internal dynamics well. You have demonstrated capabilities in being tech, business, and UX savvy.

We believe in continuous feedback at Crema—you must be open to giving and receiving feedback—and you’ll receive some training when you join the team. A teachable spirit is important. You can prioritize tasks and communicate technical concepts to a erse range of stakeholders.

As a remote-first company, we are looking for someone that thrives in an asynchronous setting and can balance intentional collaboration and communication with the ability to be self-driven and work independently.

Hiring Process

We’re intentional with our hiring process because we want to find the right candidate for the role! Our overall hiring process takes about 4-8 weeks from the time you are contacted for your first interview. You’ll observe a high level of transparency during the interview process to ensure a good match. We’ll do our best to answer all of your questions and provide candid feedback. There is more information on our hiring principles and more on our careers page.

Our process will look a little like this:

  1. Submit your application—we want to hear from you and how you align with our values.
  2. Phone Screen—if your application is selected, a member of our Ops team will reach out and schedule a 30-minute call to learn more about you and give you a chance to ask us questions.
  3. Interview with a Director of Product—the next step is an hour-long call with a Director of Product, Alison Renfro. She will take this time to understand your skills and experience.
  4. Interview with team members—we’re a very collaborative company, and we want the team you’ll be working with to have a chance to get to know you more and how they may work with you. You’ll be meeting with Alison Renfro (Director of Product), and members of the product team for an hour-long interview.
  5. Decision—after the team members deliberate, the VP of Product will inform you of the final decision. Whether or not you are offered a position, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Note: Industry research shows that iniduals in traditionally underrepresented groups generally don’t apply to jobs unless they check all the boxes for the role. If you feel strongly that you have what it takes for this role but don’t check 100% of the boxes—that’s okay—we encourage you to apply anyway and highlight what you can bring to the table.
