Title: Senior Workplace Solutions Project Manager

Sr. Workplace Solutions Project Manager – Remote in the US (West Region Preferred, PST)

We are looking for a Sr. Workplace Solutions Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic growth environment. This role will support Construction, Renovation, Infrastructure Upgrades, Environmental Social Governance (ESG) facility initiatives and Space Utilization requirements for Invitae’s Real Estate Portfolio and will collaborate with internal and external partners to determine future workplace requirements while implementing scalable Workplace Processes and systems for effective day-to-day site Portfolio Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsibilities, Plans, implements, coordinates and manages construction projects, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, energy management, space planning and manpower development for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings in a Lab, Office or Life Science environment.
  • Conducts and assists with inspections and surveys, including CAP audits and analysis, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, environmental and accessibility compliance. Supervises and reviews technical operations, surveys, energy audits and analysis, HVAC and electrical and plumbing systems, environmental and accessibility compliance, acquisitions and third-party surveys.
  • Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through inidual project qualification process; conducts standard to complex request for proposals; completes bid analysis; leads evaluation interviews, recommends resources for project completion.
  • Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep stakeholders and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings.
  • Vendor Management – collaborate with workplace solutions to develop consolidated vendor programs and apply quantitative and qualitative performance measures to achieve desired service levels and nurture accountability
  • Construction – Manage 3rd party design and construction partners to ensure effective project plans are executed in scope, on time, and in budget
  • Sustainability – work with the global ESG office to develop, prioritize, and deploy sustainability programs and support metric development that contributes to better energy efficiency, energy reduction, and energy management.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in either construction, Real Estate, Engineering, Business Administration, or 10 years of relevant Life Sciences (GMP/GxP) experience
  • A minimum of 10 years operational experience with responsibility for leading project management or construction in a FDA regulated biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical and service environment
  • Experience leading complex multi-functional projects/programs
  • Strong written and oral communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated effective organizational change ability

Preferred skills:

  • Professional Certification desired (PMP, CFM, CPM, FMA or similar)
  • Ability to Travel up to 25% domestic
