We are excited to be creating this new role within Inspiretec. The successful Product Owner will work on product-based developments for our clients and internal product led developments for the travel sector, as well as internal R&D and some QA work. This will primarily be focused on flight integrations in our Reservations system.

If you are a dynamic, multi-functional Product Owner with an experience of flight booking systems, ticketing and fulfilment and are experienced in juggling multiple priorities, and you have a can-do attitude, then this could be the perfect role for you.

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

Shaping our product strategy

  • Work with the Head of Product Success, our CX Consultancy and our support teams and delivery teams to evolve our flight integrations.
  • Get to know our customers and partners so you can understand their needs, identify product gaps and gather feedback on new product ideas.
  • Discover and define the underlying business needs being addressed by the product through engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Stay close to the pulse of the travel industry, so you can identify new opportunities for Inspiretec to add value
  • To translate customer and key stakeholder requirements for modifications and enhancements into a well-formed backlog to support the product roadmap.
  • Document requirements in a format that can be shared with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with the CX Consultancy team on new implementations and upgrades to ensure the team and the customer has a thorough understanding of our flight offerings and capabilities.
  • To support the team by prioritising and ensuring the quality of feature deliveries.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Successfully engage in multiple projects simultaneously.

 

About you / what we value:

  • Proven experience of working in the travel industry with expert knowledge of various GDS’s and flight aggregators
  • Experience of flight ticketing and flight contracting.
  • Knowledge of product management techniques such as user journeys, user stories and product road mapping.
  • Experienced in working closely with a variety of stakeholders – both external and internal.
  • You are adaptable to working environments and constraints and always looking to learn, improve, and grow – as an inidual and as part of a team.
  • You enjoy working as part of a delivery team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a erse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Comfortable with decision making and leadership.
  • The ability to think creatively and innovatively, to solve complex problems.
  • Experience of user acceptance testing of solutions.
  • Experienced in managing documentation in JIRA.
