Pedago is seeking a Marketing and Communications Subject Matter Expert/Faculty Member to evaluate, grade and support students in the completion of MBA and Executive MBA programs. This role is responsible for creating and facilitating webinars and case study discussions over Zoom, meeting with students in 1:1 and group settings, answering questions on topics related to Marketing and Business Communications, grading student assignments, and mentoring students participating in a business pitch competition.

 

Candidates must have a PhD in a topic related to Marketing (e.g. Integrated Marketing Communications, Social Media Marketing, Cross-Cultural Marketing), as well as significant experience teaching Marketing and other business topics at the graduate level, preferably on an MBA program. Candidates with experience teaching sustainable marketing or similar are especially encouraged to apply. Note that candidates without a relevant PhD cannot be considered for this role. This is a full-time, remote position. Some national and/or international travel may be required. Pedago requires successful completion of a background check.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support students competing Marketing and Business Communications projects
  • Host webinars, seminars and one-on-one consultations with students
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for students with questions related to Marketing and Communications within the MBA and Executive MBA degrees at Quantic School of Business and Technology and Valar Institute
  • Lead academic discussions at national and international conferences, as required

Requirements

  • PhD in Marketing or a related field
  • 5+ years experience teaching business topics at the undergraduate or graduate level (as teaching assistant or professor)
  • Experience in academic assessment and feedback
  • Experience in academic quality assurance processes
  • Experience meeting the unique needs of a erse, global student population of adult learners and working with cross-cultural teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience teaching in disciplines relative to sustainability (e.g, Green Marketing, Environmental Marketing)
  • Experience teaching other Business disciplines (especially Management, Leadership, and Strategy) at the graduate level
  • Experience on project teams for institutions seeking accreditation or re-accreditation
  • Foreign language proficiency (e.g. Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic)
