👋  Hey, I’m Ben - VP of Product here at Dwolla.  I’m looking for a Product Manager with a focus on faster payment methods (Same Day ACH, RTP, Push to Card, FedNow…and more) and its critical role in the Dwolla platform.  This product leader brings a passion for building and growing faster payment methods to drive new business outcomes for our customers.  From managing cash flow to precision of payments 24x7, we need your help building a safe way to move fast.   Here is what you can expect to work on in this critical role on my team:   You will support Dwolla’s creation of strategic initiatives to build and own a suite of faster payment solutions..  We need your help to align company strategies with a focus on optimizing for growth through faster payment methods.  You will also contribute to the product roadmap, outline and establish goals and KPIs for faster payment methods and articulate who the customer is and how we can deliver and track the success of our products (including combinations) inside and outside Dwolla.  And you’ll act as the go-to product expert for sales, marketing and account management teams.   This position calls for ruthless prioritization, clarity and scope definition, removal of obstacles all while honoring Agile principles.   Utilizing decision frameworks, data and documentation in your decision making process is a key skill to continually improve and iterate on our product.  Working cross-functionally, you will need to hold stakeholders responsible for following the outlined process.   Our team values organization, tenacity and continuous improvement mindset.  You will have a lot of support from leadership when you communicate proactively with detailed information about any roadblocks you may encounter.     Qualities of Product Managers Who Thrive in This Role 💰 You have expertise in the payments industry with a desire to implement and measure faster payment strategies.  With a focus on growing the use of sophisticated payment solutions through the application of faster payment improvements, we are excited for you to  bring your knowledge and passion to the cutting edge product line-up at Dwolla.   🤝  You enjoy working with cross-functional teams (specifically being in lockstep with our engineering team) in a collaborative and inclusive environment and regularly engaging with our clients and internal stakeholders(perhaps you’re even a bit obsessive about voice of customer representation😉).   🗣️  You have strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal, facilitation and presentation… this role does it all!)

< class="h3">What else is expected of a Product Manager at Dwolla?
  • Responsible for contributing to the product roadmap, talking with customers, gathering functional requirements, and collaborating on the user experience in conjunction with product team members, software engineers, and internal stakeholders
  • Prioritize projects to align with company strategy and priorities across teams with a focus on all things onboarding and quick, intuitive platform use.
  • Develop strategies and solutions to measure, support and scalable faster payment methods including unique combinations to support sophisticated customer needs.  
  • Contribute to product roadmap and facilitate stakeholder discussions through ownership of a portfolio of initiatives
  • Foster excellence in software design and development and execute successful delivery of product enhancements
  • Track and analyze product success metrics to understand impact of releases and future product improvements.  Metrics may include client/revenue growth, component performance, signups, onboarding, application approval conversion, and direct client feedback.
  • Perform competitive analysis and research to uncover and evaluate product strategies across leading SAAS companies
  • Engage internal and external users to better understand their goals and challenges
  • Partner with the user experience team to facilitate opportunities for product discovery, usability testing and customer feedback
  • Represent the voice of the customer with experience working within agile methodologies to deliver and iterate our products

< class="h3">What are the preferred qualifications for this position?
  • 2 - 4+ years of experience in product management with consumer-facing or B2B products 
  • 2+ years experiences in payments industry including direct experience with payment methods such as Zelle, RTP, Same Day ACH, Push to Card or Wires.
  • Previous success working in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to translate technical concepts for a non-technical audience
  • Ability to grapple with abstract user problems
  • Passion and curiosity for understanding user needs.
  What else would make you stand out for this role?
  • Previous experience at a SaaS (software-as-a-service) company
  • Previous experience in the clearing and settlement of faster payment methods.
  • Data-driven decisions grounded in analysis and product-led growth strategies
  • Familiarity with Atlassian, Jira and Confluence
  • Education or professional experience with data analysis and product analytics
  • A desire to be a true ambassador of the Dwolla product line-up (social media promotion, writing up blog posts, guesting on podcasts, etc)
