SUMMARY: The Regulatory Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the institutional activities that facilitate compliance with state authorization and other regulations. The position supports our educational delivery teams nation-wide, as a member of our Regulatory Team. The position communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders about regulatory requirements and procedures, and contributes to the development of process improvements. This position is also responsible for the management of student accommodations for all Galvanize programs.

Compliance

  • Reviews and implements compliance standards, policies, and processes;
  • Unifies and integrates regulations from various regulatory bodies into simplified language and recommended policy efficiencies;
  • Drafts and revises written and digital content, including, regulatory collateral, internal and external-facing policy guidance and process documentation;
  • Liaises with various departments and stakeholders regarding regulatory initiatives and requirements as they relate to state authorization and funding regulations;
  • Manages regulatory credentialing and continuing education for regulated roles across all jurisdictions;
  • Assists with the preparation and submission of required periodic reporting and coordinates regulatory visits;
  • Fulfills regulated administrative positions as training and experience dictate;
  • Builds, ships and supports robust systems to support program teams with compliance and student-support functions;
  • Assists in building out new compliance systems to support company growth initiatives.

Operations

  • Serves as a key point of contact for compliance and state authorization;
  • Manages scholarship application, panel review and award selection process, including ownership of applicant communications;
  • Builds and maintains robust scholarship data collection and reporting processes;
  • Supports the development of content highlighting scholarship partners and initiatives;
  • Builds and maintains student and staff-facing collateral and departmental standard operating procedures;
  • Supports internal and external channels of communication, including email, and Slack;
  • Other assignments and duties as required.

Student Accommodations

  • Acts as main point of contact in responding to student accommodations requests and inquiries;
  • Works with students and program staff to review accommodations requests and determine appropriate and reasonable accommodations in accordance with policy and federal law;
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of student accommodation requests, approvals and related policies;
  • Develops and delivers staff training resources on student accommodations;
  • Collaborates with program staff and leadership to identify and address program accessibility concerns.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preference to degrees in communications, project management, higher education administration, legal studies) and
  • 1-3 years of related work experience preferably in a regulated industry OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience and comfortable collaborating in remote environments;
  • Understanding of academic programs, higher education policies and procedures, and administrative systems.
  • Ability to clear required background check

  • Proven experience in a role supporting the administrative operations of a multi-functional team of administrators and professionals;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with iniduals from erse backgrounds;
  • Strong organizational and archiving skills;
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills;
  • Ability to work well independently and with teams (preference to work experience related to consensus building);
  • Excellent calendar management and time management skills;
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a high attention to detail;
  • The ability to manage change, think on your feet, try new approaches, and think systematically;
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with overlapping deadlines.

  • This is a home-based position

We anticipate the salary range to be $55,000 – 69,000. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an inidual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
