ThreeFlow is seeking a Head of Partnerships to own our strategy for carrier partnerships. Collaborating closely with the executive team, the Head of Partnerships will be accountable in driving two key initiatives: deepening engagement with current carrier partners and recruiting new carrier partners. The successful team will effectively build the Partnerships organization to support scale & chart the course for how we will win with our partners.

This role reports to the CEO and is part of the executive management team. The Head of Partnerships will work remotely, with frequent travel expected.

  • Develop and execute on a partner strategy that increases carriers usage and engagement of our Benefit Placement System
  • Deepen relationships within existing carrier partners, including key stakeholders across sales, operations, and technology
  • Lead efforts to ensure carriers engage with ThreeFlow Connect to integrate our Benefit Placement System into carriers quoting, underwriting, and sales workstreams
  • Migrate our engagement with carriers from that of just distribution to that of distribution + technology
  • Provide valuable, real time market communications based on our proprietary data (ThreeFlow Insights) and market feedback
  • Devise ongoing partnerships strategy for additional carrier recruitment based on any product gaps/opportunities determined by our management team
  • Lead recruitment efforts by prospecting new carriers to join the ThreeFlow ecosystem.
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with carrier partners
  • Create “carrier champions” by achieving a relationship and engagement level that drives carrier and broker promotion
  • Negotiate and finalize new contracts, including compensation agreements in accordance with company’s policy and guidelines
  • Collaborate with executive team, in particular the Head of Sales and Client Experience to align internal goals with new and existing partner relationships
  • Collaborate with Head of Finance to calculate and deliver a defensible ROI to carriers as part of their partnership with us
  • Represent ThreeFlow at relevant conferences and industry events where there are opportunities to network with current and future carrier partners
  • Build the Partnerships organization, a current team of 4 with plans to grow to 12 by the end of the year; assume responsibility for team’s growth plans
< class="h2">About you 

Skills, knowledge, and experience

  • Employee benefits industry experience is a requirement; experience working at a carrier, broker, or within insurance technology is a plus 
  • A strong network of contacts on the broker, carrier, TPA, and other employee benefits-related companies
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits products, trends, and sales processes; operational and/or underwriting experience within a carrier is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience securing new partnerships and driving deeper and broader enterprise engagement with existing carrier partners
  • Prior experience leading large scale technology projects to successful implementation
  • Proven track record of developing business cases for cross-functional approval of business decisions
  • Demonstrated success of leadership and team building is required
