Powered by People is looking for an exceptional Associate Account Executive to support the Buyer Sales team in finding new business opportunities and managing customer relationships.

We are a small sales team and need an agile self-starter who can grow quickly and help us manage leads and opportunities that will help drive PBP’s platform and brand forward across North America in all categories, including: decor, living, style and kids. You are a strategic, consumer-centric candidate with instinctive digital thinking.

THE ROLE

  • Directly contribute to retail buyer growth from finding qualified leads to successfully selling buyers onto the PBP platform and securing sales orders
  • Become familiar with PBP makers to identify and present personalized recommendations to buyers
  • Develop relationships with clients to understand their buying needs
  • Provide professional after-sales support to maximize buyer loyalty
  • Work closely with supporting teams (Marketing, Merchandising, Tech and Finance) to drive company success while adhering to PBP’s values
  • Collaborate with teams to proactively identify and execute on initiatives that deliver sales results
  • Help build out our dropship business by identifying and pitching to prospects
  • Provide weekly updates to Sales Manager on progress towards monthly goals
  • Potential for some travel and trade event support/attendance

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with sales/business development and working directly with buyers, experience in Design, Living and Style sectors preferred
  • Able to work cross-functionally with internal teams
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • A high level of energy, motivation, initiative, dedication, integrity, and networking capability
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
  • Comfortable with analyzing data and basic sales reporting
  • Experience with HubSpot, Klaviyo, Shopify, and other CRM platforms is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in an evolving, fast-paced, startup environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Passionate about supporting small batch, responsibly made artisanal goods with a strong focus on global design
