Overview

The Senior Human Resources Compliance and Workforce Relations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the organization’s adherence to employment laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and involves leading and managing employee relations, investigating workplace issues, and implementing strategies to maintain a positive work environment. The role requires a strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and effective communication skills.

Salary Range: $94,400 – $142,900

What You’ll Do

  • Provide consultation, coaching, and education on HR compliance and employee relations best practices to managers and team members
  • Stay abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance gaps
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to interpret and apply regulations appropriately
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding workplace issues
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee accommodations
  • Provide information to employees on counseling, benefits, and other services and programs available to support employee overall well-being
  • Investigate and respond to complaints, and complex, high-risk, or sensitive employee relations cases
  • Proactively identify employee relations trends, and create and implement proposed solutions, in collaboration with key partners
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for employee relations matters
  • Collaborate with senior management to create, update, and communicate HR policies
  • Ensure that policies are effectively documented, communicated, and distributed to all employees
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team and leadership to develop and deliver required training programs
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Implement measures to mitigate risks and maintain a healthy work environment
  • Collaborate with other HR functions to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive HR strategy
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field*
  • 5+ years experience in general human resources
  • 3+ years experience in HR compliance and workforce relations
  • 2+ years’ experience leading, supervising, and/or coaching others
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Strong investigative and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It’s a Plus if You Have:

  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associates degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors degree.
