< class="h4">What you'll do

We're a globally distributed team, and this is a 100% remote role (we prefer the UTC to UTC+4 timezones). We're also a young team which means you'll have a lot of growth opportunities during your first year (and beyond) at Re:Coded. In this role, you'll also have a direct hand in driving our next phase of growth and get the opportunity to work with our biggest asset—our people.

At Re:Coded, we believe the mission of our People Ops team is to empower each employee to unlock their true potential in order to maximize our company’s impact. This role reports direct to the Chief Executive Officer. Here's what you can expect, and we’ll also leave space for you to define your role, too!

In your first 90 days, you'll:

  • Get to know the team. Build and maintain relationships with all vertical heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Lead the People Operations team with integrity and deepen a trusting, inclusive, and productive workplace, based on Re:Coded's values.
  • Lead the continuous development of organizational culture around remote-first best practices and principles, fostering a sense of belonging to ensure each team member can show up as their best, authentic self.
  • Coach and develop direct reports to empower them to thrive by communicating clear expectations, providing regular feedback and recognition, and career guidance.
  • Add one team member to the People Operations vertical: People Operations Manager 🙌
  • Introduce talent development strategy, programs, and offerings to foster the team’s continual learning and development.
  • Manage HR administration, including vacation tracking, administration of benefits, record keeping, and maintenance of team member files in partnership with Finance.
  • Learn about the technology tools and systems the team relies on and start to identify gaps and opportunities for upgrades and changes.

In your first year, you'll:

  • Oversee and optimize full-cycle recruitment, from identifying and addressing talent requirements to onboarding new hires, always looking to create an extraordinary candidate experience.
  • Improve Re:Coded's performance enablement systems, including OKRs, career paths, and 360-Best-Self Reviews in partnership with Senior Leadership.
  • Lead our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) initiative.
  • Own and refine our rewards philosophy, including compensation, benefits, and perks.
  • Implement formal and informal feedback, pulse surveys, and benchmarking to measure team engagement and guide data-backed strategy.
  • Plan and organize the company’s internal events, social calendar, and other employee engagement programs, such as off-sites, in-person and virtual retreats & summits, team building events, lunch ‘n learns, and opportunities for employees to build community within the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for Re:Coded's key initiatives, ensuring data integrity for optimal reporting.
  • Own org-wide technology systems and tools, working to continuously ensure the Re:Coded team has what they need to succeed within their roles and teams.
  • Oversee global hiring compliance, team member relocation, and employment law.
  • Uphold and iterate on Re:Coded's policies, ensuring legislative regulations are followed while meeting the needs of a global, distributed team.
  • Facilitate org-wide change management related to strategic initiatives.

  • Deep care for employees, their experience, growth and engagement.
  • Proven experience in People Operations. You've touched on all aspects of the employee journey, from workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, retention, engagement to separation.
  • Experience working in and developing remote-first organizational culture and systems, including what enables people to thrive in this environment.
  • Experience iterating on and optimizing established processes to allow the organization to grow and scale.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to model associated behaviors across the organization.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to coach team members, prioritizing a culture of psychological safety while balancing organizational needs and goals.

Bonus points if…

  • You speak more than one language fluently.
  • Experience working and/or living in countries other than your country of origin.
  • You have certifications or trainings in HR compliance, DEI, cross-cultural communications, or learning and development

  • Competitive pay. Our formula-based salary calculation provides a competitive, equitable rate based on your skills, role, and region. Depending on your region and level, here are the gross base salary ranges you can expect:  Within the regions listed, below, please note that we can only accept candidates who are currently located in and have the required work permits to work in the mentioned countries:
  • Europe (United Kingdom-Netherlands-Portugal-Spain): $88,046-$94,987 Gross
  • MENA (Egypt-Yemen-Turkey-Tunisia): $56,779- $61,242 Gross
  • Asia (India): $63,033- $67,991 Gross
