We’re looking for top designers to help build our core platform to support the scale and complexity of our growing infrastructure. You’ll be a foundational member of our new product team, leading the User Experience design and setting the foundational technologies, processes, and culture.

You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. EVPassport is based in Los Angeles with additional offices in Brooklyn and Barcelona. Our main engineering hub is Barcelona and this role will closely produce work that the engineering team will build. Additional time will be spent with the CEO to collaborate and review designs, based in Los Angeles/New York. This role is fully remote but optional office space in one of the three cities, and quarterly Product team retreats in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product specifications and user psychology

  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs

  • Design and prototype experiences in Figma

  • Design full user experiences that can be handed to front end engineers

  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role

  • Strong portfolio of design projects

  • Experience with Sketch, Figma, and/or Adobe XD

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Background in project management and research

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • Analytical mind with a business acumen

  • Excellent communication skills

  • BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
