At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

As a UX Designer on our monetization and growth team, you will be part of a collaborative, customer-obsessed group of designers working to deliver innovative, intuitive user experiences and drive GoDaddy’s global growth. You will be a creative force behind the optimization of our software subscriptions, using experimentation to drive conversion rates and revenue growth. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with partners in product, content, and engineering to create user experiences for subscriptions, enabling customers to build their businesses with GoDaddy.

This role focuses on monetization, merchandising design, and optimizing content to drive metrics. The ideal candidate for this role loves the nitty-gritty and has a sharp eye for details a business/financial background is a bonus!

What you’ll get to do…

  • Dive deep into understanding user behaviors, preferences, and motivations related to monetization and merchandising. Collaborate closely with design peers and product partners to integrate human-centered and inclusive design principles into the user experience, promoting transparency and ease of use.
  • Apply strategic design thinking to create interfaces that not only captivate users but also drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and participate in multi-variate experiments to validate design hypotheses and optimize conversion metrics. Analyze experiment results and iterate on designs to continuously improve user interactions and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct user testing and usability research on your designs alongside our creative and research teams.
  • Innovate in merchandising design and monetization, supporting GoDaddy’s global growth through user experiences in transparent plans and pricing, upgrades, and subscription models.
  • Collaborate closely with product designers, product managers, and engineers to develop thoughtful user experiences that tie in seamlessly with an existing visual and interactive ecosystem.
  • Develop end-to-end user journeys and interface designs, prioritizing usability, accessibility, inclusivity, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Contribute strategy, design, and team spirit to a wider design community, participating in focus groups that shape the company’s design foundations, visual language, and patterns.
  • Craft interactive prototypes, focusing on enhancing the user experience.
  • Influence the future of monetization and merchandising with your design leadership.
  • Participate in a thriving design community and grow alongside a team of dedicated, encouraging, and empathetic colleagues.

  • Work asynchronously, emphasizing clear communication and comprehensive documentation.

Your experience should include…

  • 3+ years of hands-on UX/UI design experience.
  • Confidence in the unique problem space of monetization design.
  • Being a self-starter.
  • A meticulous competence for details.
  • Passion for doing what’s best for our customers.
  • Adaptability to change and ambiguity in project environments.
  • An extensive digital portfolio showcasing a broad spectrum of design skills and projects.
  • Demonstration of design thinking and human-centered design principles.
  • High acuity in visual design and prototyping.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams, demonstrating communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with inclusive design standards (accessibility) and a passion for staying ahead in design trends.
  • Proven expertise in Figma and other relevant design tools.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to present, and adept at explaining complex design concepts persuasively.
  • Experience in atomic design principles.

  • A background in user testing and usability research.
  • A business background, and an understanding of fundamentals in business growth and revenue.
  • Experience in front-end development.
  • Experience in product experimentation.
  • Experience working with teams that use Agile/Scrum methodologies.
