At Echo Analytics, we work with innovative companies that need location data and insights. We provide our clients with a real picture of the world and its movement to help them answer complex questions. And we do so by matching and analyzing an unmatched collection of internal and external geospatial data sources, both open source and paid.

This position is open to full-remote as long as it is within the same time zone as the EU5, with the expectation that you can easily travel to our Paris office on a regular basis (1 or 2 times per month). You will work directly with internal and external partners to help us achieve our data and commercial strategy. You will target potential data partners and work on data valuation and evaluation. In this role, you will directly contribute to the success of our data strategy by working on acquiring and onboarding new data partners into our ecosystem and maintaining our existing network of data partnerships.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Identify data partners, both open source and paid, that will help us improve our datasets and provide complex analysis to our clients.
  • In this strategic role, you will be working directly with one of the founders but also closely collaborating with the R&D team to help them acquire the data sources and data attributes they need in the right formats.
  • You will also work with the sales teams as they can help you identify potential partners.
  • Manage our existing network of Data Partners.
  • Drive and own the new data evaluation process.
  • Identify opportunities for data bartering.
  • Identify new potential data partnerships, engage, evaluate, and close those partnerships.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on third-party data to support product development efforts that leverage that data, ensuring data standards and practices are adhered to.

We are looking for a self-motivated person with experience in both commercial and data. This person would ideally have an existing portfolio of business relationships with data companies or be able to quickly build one up. Half commercial mindset, half technical mindset, we are looking for someone who can help us build our product offering by partnering with many different types of data companies.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable working with, and understanding, complex data issues.
  • Inspires trust with both external and internal clients.
  • Comfortable driving consensus across the company and making timely decisions.
  • Enjoy analytical thinking.
  • Able to speak and engage with both technical teams and business leaders.
  • Comfortable managing, negotiating and closing contracts.
  • 2+ years experience in data partnerships, preferably in the location data ecosystem.
  • 5+ years of experience working with data (either from the business angle or the technical angle).
