< class="h3">Job Description

The Workforce Experience Design Lead leverages a depth of knowledge and experience in design thinking, facilitation, research, and strategy to help our clients and fellow Leapers to leverage human-centered design in developing and delivering products and services to employees.

Core Responsibilities

  • Experience Design

    • Help prepare client stakeholders for the design process

    • Develop research plans that meet client and project needs

    • Use established research methods to capture the voice of employees and stakeholders align with secondary data

    • Synthesize and analyze raw data, then distill into insights

    • Develop artifacts that convey a current state understanding of the people being served and the experience from their point of view (e.g. empathy maps, personas, journey maps)

    • Distill the learnings gained from previous activities into a design brief to catalyze ideation

    • Facilitate ideation sessions with client stakeholders

    • Develop artifacts that convey future state experiences in detail (e.g. service blueprints)

    • Coach clients on alignment, prioritization, and selection of ideas for prototyping and implementation

    • Coach clients through prototyping and testing as needed

    • Deliver final recommendations for all aspects of experiences (e.g., strategy, process, interaction, roles, policy, content / knowledge management)

 

  • Customer Partnership

    • Work closely with clients to develop a strong understanding of the company’s corporate/HR culture, operating strengths and opportunities

    • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to recommend HR process and system improvements in support of business goals

    • Foster client relationships that are strong and lasting

    • Play a prominent role in client program governance

 

  • Collaboration & Partnership with Leapgen Teammates

    • Partner with Leapgen Organizational Change Management Consultants to inform impact analyses, messaging, communications and measurement plans

    • Manage schedules and budgets [when no Project Manager is assigned]

    • Convey experience design outputs to designers (e.g. visual, interaction, UX) and implementation partners to guide customer solution design

    • Contribute to Leapgen's industry thought leadership in collaboration with Marketing peers

    • Collaborate with Sales to develop new customer relationships

 

< class="h3">Qualifications
  • Experience

    • 3+ years experience in driving transformation through design

    • 4+ years consulting experience preferred

    • 5+ years experience in the workforce, preferably in HR, IT, or Design

    • Some project management experience preferred

 

  • Knowledge & Education

    • Strong understanding of Digital Workforce Transformation and HR functions / processes (e.g. talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, service delivery, career growth & development)

    • Understanding of how mindset, people, process, and technology combine to enable positive workforce experiences

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred

    • Design studies and/or certificate(s) a plus

 

  • Additional Qualifications

    • Proven ability to lead and do (please see responsibilities & activities above!) in order to drive value for customer projects, programs, and relationships

    • Team player with proven ability to influence and collaborate with others

    • Ability to collaborate with multiple clients simultaneously, work with remote teams, think creatively, manage own time and take initiative to drive projects

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), including ability to deliver compelling client presentations

Location and Travel:

  • Remote (continental US or Canada)

  • Travel 20-30% (may fluctuate based on public health concerns and guidelines)
