NEP Virtual Studios combines Prysm Stages, Lux Machina, and Halon Entertainment under one banner to provide best-in-class virtual production services around the world. Lux Machina and Prysm stages design, build, and operate state of the art Virtual Production facilities while Halon Entertainment provides game cinematic content, visualization, and virtual art production services from concept to final pixel. 

 

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Technical Artists at Entry, Mid, and Senior levels, for exciting, high profile feature film, television, commercial, video game cinematics, and virtual production projects. This is a remote-work opportunity. 

 

Job Summary: 

Unreal Technical Artists in the Halon Virtual Art Department are responsible for supporting their teammates in using the Unreal Engine to its fullest potential and troubleshooting any issues the team may encounter while using the Engine. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the Virtual Art Department (VAD) and Engineering teams in the development of and integration of tools to support projects; including the use of and creation of Blueprints 
  • Work closely with Artists to troubleshoot and fix problems arising in the course of production 
  • Provide technical support to teams as requested, including on-site virtual production support 
  • Integrate off the shelf and custom applications into production pipeline 
  • Create technical and end user documentation for assets, tools, techniques and workflows 
  • Educate and involve teams in pipeline tool use 
  • Build and manage render pipelines for Virtual Production shows when required 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

< class="h1">Requirements
  • Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 
  • Understanding of virtual production pipeline 
  • General understanding of virtual production DCC's 
  • e.g. Maya, Substance, Zbrush, Reality Capture, Houdini, Quixel Bridge etc. 
  • Understanding of version control systems: Perforce, Git, SVN 
  • Familiarity with other Game Engines is a plus 
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills 
  • Able to multitask and manage time efficiently 
  • Able to take direction, collaborate and be a team player 
  • Ability to operate autonomously as well as part of a team 
  • Ability to deliver superior service and build lasting relationships by demonstrating NEP’s Core Values: innovative, one team, passion and integrity
