Background

At GoSchoolBox, we're passionate about transforming education by creating an interoperable platform that provides transformative insights for school district leaders and communities. Our goal is to enable school districts and tutoring vendors to launch, manage, and synthesize outcomes at scale, bringing accountability and refined insights to Tier 2 / Tier 3 activities that help district leaders understand their return on instruction. This, in turn, allows district leaders to identify the most impactful programs that drive progress against the outcomes that matter most to them.

Our multifaceted platform balances the logistical overhead of launching and managing tutoring at scale, gathering and aggregating tutoring activities facilitated on and external to GoSchoolBox, and synthesizing insights in a reporting system that gracefully handles data sources of varied fidelity. The GoSchoolBox user experience must cater to the needs of K-12 students by providing easy access to all their tutoring resources while enabling tutoring program administrators to scale and manage high-touch learning services to tens of thousands of students at inidual school districts in various formats. With these activities centralized, district administrators can then seamlessly integrate data connectors to pull in any and all outcomes data they wish to monitor progress against, all in one place.

Job Description

We are looking for a Contract Senior Product Designer to rapidly produce designs for the next major iteration of our product landscape, which will touch on the following key workflows:

  • School district-centered data analysis visualizations and dashboard experience, with an emphasis on presenting reports strategically to weave a narrative of accountability to providers to district leaders via the GoSchoolBox product.

  • Data integrations and marketplace for districts to engage with tutoring vendors and create seamless data connector workflows, with clear segmentation on how various ed-tech apps can play an integral role in the platform.

  • Refinements to our Tutoring Management Service for our partner vendors to launch and manage new tutoring programs at scale

  • Improvements to our in-person session attendance tracking capabilities and simplify students’ resource access and discovery experience on GoSchoolBox.

We expect that you will come prepared with the requisite empathy, insights, and best practices for designing a platform with componentized elements that can be plugged and played in extensive ways to accomplish various visualization outcomes and forms in which certain educational assessment formats can be placed together to derive Return on Instruction in a simplified way.
