We’re building a platform that combines adaptive learning technology with a mentorship network of industry experts to create personalized, online training programs for job seekers at scale. Our first program is the Engineering Fellowship, a training program that helps software engineers from nontraditional and underrepresented backgrounds break into top tier tech companies. Fellows are trained by current engineers from Facebook, Dropbox, etc. and are unconditionally supported by the entire Formation team until we succeed in landing their next role. We are a small team dedicated to the success of our Fellows. We are looking for a dedicated Fellowship Manager seeking a challenging, impactful, and rewarding role that will make a lasting impact on iniduals in our program fulfilling their potential and pursuing their dreams. Our Fellowship Managers work 1:1 with up 25 Fellows, supporting them through the program until they land their dream role. This is a unique role that combines advising, project management, and counseling. Our Fellowship Managers work closely with our engineers to ensure that they are working towards their goals every step of the way. The ideal candidate is inquisitive and compassionate, with a love of supporting iniduals pursuing goals.Your perfect day will include:* * Ensuring new engineers are successfully onboarded into the Fellowship. Find ways of making their experience unique, while continuously thinking about how to make the process more efficient.* Leading Daily Standups with our teams of Fellows to track their progress and support them with any challenges they may be facing on the day-to-day.* Communicating with Fellows, answering any questions they may have, and reaching out to them to check-in. Your overall goal is that they feel confident in themselves and their support system (our team).* Finding inefficiencies and continuously seek ways to automate, while maintaining the Fellowship’s strong human element.* Meeting with each Fellow to discuss their general wellbeing, progress, and ways we can improve their experience.* Continuously seeking creative ways to connect with the 25-30 Fellows you manage, as well as weave them into our network.* Leading Success Interviews for Fellows that have accepted their dream job. Gather testimonials and communicate key insights back to the team.Skills and experience that we value:* Experience working directly with engineers in some capacity.* Proven experience as a student advisor, career coach, or similar role in a 1:1 coaching capacity.* 1-3 years experience in Customer Success in the technology field, HR or Project Management.* A natural people person, with a compassionate approach to problem solving.* Multitasker who can maintain daily communication with numerous people while tackling projects.* Product minded, with a passion for education and technology.* A natural people person, with a passion for motivating and mentoring others.* Scrum Master or Project Management designation considered an asset.Salary range: $55-75k
