Catalyze is a sustainability agency operating at the nexus of design, communications and behavioural change. Where ideals and ideas converge, we design solutions that move NGOs, brands, and companies along their sustainability journey. For more than ten years, we have worked with some of the world’s leading environmental organisations on issues ranging from deforestation to plastic pollution and overfishing to the energy crisis.

We’re growing our team and looking for a full-time UI/UX Designer who is passionate, has a strong desire to learn, and is committed to excellence.  He/she will deliver outstanding user experiences by developing memorable, user-friendly websites that cater to clients' needs.

The primary responsibilities for this position are:

  • Collect and analyze the needs of users through suitable research techniques

  • Consult programmers, copywriters, and other designers during the research and design process

  • Plan and develop visual concepts, including their animated components, based on client and user needs

  • Design prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and mockups

  • Present designs to the design team and other stakeholders

  • Review and edit the mockups according to client feedback

  • Collaborate closely with the web development team to ensure that coded designs are aligned with final mockups

  • Conduct user testing for developed websites to evaluate user experience and make recommendations accordingly

  • Stay updated with UI trends and design skills

Requirements for this position:

  • Proven two years of experience as a UX /UI Designer or a similar role for digital products or services

  • Great at software that supports UI/UX work, such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD

  • A team player who can work independently too

  • Ability to discuss and explain design options

  • Ability to discuss technical aspects with programmers

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong design thinking skills

  • Good time-management skill

Employment type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Exemptions: This position is only open to Indonesian nationals 

Location: Flexible (remote)

Reporting to: Visual Team Lead
