• Comfortable with the concepts & use of Off Exchange Settlement/Custodian providers to support digital asset trading.
• Understanding of crypto transactions, ability to conduct blockchain analysis with experience in trade execution, settlement, and reconciliation processes.

TrendSpider is a professional tool for those who trade anything from stocks to cryptos. We provide smart retail traders, financial advisors and hedge funds with the market research and algo trading platform.

We need a Node.js engineer who’s going to primarily deal with data feeds (market data and alternative data).

1. Connecting new data types and maintaining existing pipelines
2. Improving observability in data import pipelines
3. Working on business logic which is necessary for data to work in charting, scanning, backtesting, custom JS scripting etc.

Here are the skills required in order to do the job well:

• Experience establishing cloud infrastructure via Terraform. AWS Lambda + SQS is a bare minimum.
• Strong expertise in Node.js. At the very least, you need experience profiling, debugging a memory leak and an event loop jam in a Node.js service. Some services handle tens of thousands of messages per second, some pipelines handle gigabytes of data with limited RAM, that’s why.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB with no ORMs.
• Experience dealing with massive data (both “read a lot” and “write a lot”) in PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of ideas of both OOP and functional programming. We use both, depending on a component and a goal.
• Capability for testing your work well. Both writing automated tests (units, function, e2e) and running checks by doing what customers do.
• Capability for figuring things out. All data vendors are different, all APIs are different and every kind of data has its own scale.
• Capability for building simple solutions for complex problems. Simplicity of solutions is the king here.

You’ll be dealing with a microservice architecture (30+ microservices) where the vast majority of services run on Node.js. Microservices either provide HTTP REST APIs using Express and Fastify (no Next.js, no GraphQL) or use Websocket. Cloud infrastructure is AWS, CI/CD pipelines are on Gitlab and Bitbucket. Container orchestration is K8s and Docker Swarm. Data pipelines mostly run on AWS Lambda.

Code is all ECMAScript. Quality of code is high, but in some data pipelines it’s rather acceptable. There are no variables named “x”. There’s a coding convention. Overall, we value solving problems and delivering value to our customers way above using this new fancy technology just for the purpose of using it.

The workflow is a lightweight mix of scrum and kanban, with a low level of formality. There’s a QA team, but engineers test their work thoroughly too. You’ll be supervised in the beginning. As soon as we get on the same page regarding values in engineering, you’ll be having less and less supervision, until you get to a point when you will make most of the decisions yourself. The team is all remote, from Argentina to Ukraine. Languages are English and Russian. Speaking Russian would be a bonus, but not a must have.

The hiring process is short and straightforward. First, a few emails, then one interview call with 1-2 people and that’s it.

DevOps is a buzzword, but it’s also generic enough to encompass the breadth of tasks required in supporting development teams. There are many ways to make the lives of developers easier, and everyone has their own best way, which also means every team has their own way. Supporting developers involves debugging obscure bash scripts from years ago that nobody remembers. It means biting on a piece of wood and using data formats turned programming languages like YAML to configure CI jobs. It means tracking down minute differences between releases of packages and libraries causing unexpected crashes. It means rewriting the same Dockerfile for the 5th time to allow a project to use one more obscure library. Or tracking down absurd race conditions of multi-threaded tests running in parallel on the same host. The Opportunity

As a Trader on our Liquid Strategies team, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day of our liquid portfolio, from identifying compelling trading opportunities to collaborating and building new proprietary trading technologies and tools. You’ll have the opportunity to identify, vet, and execute a wide variety of trading and yield farming strategies to maximize return on liquid assets. You will be responsible for deploying into both directional and delta neutral strategies, and also contribute to ongoing discussions about appropriate levels of allocation in each area.

This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the bottom line of a crypto-native multi-strategy firm with a strong VC presence and engineering and incubation arm. This may be the right opportunity for you if you’re a driven, ambitious, highly trustworthy, math-inclined human with the desire to experiment and build in the crypto/DeFi space. This position will be fully remote work, with the opportunity for co-working and colocation as necessary.

This is a remote position located outside of Canada and the USA. Eligibility for this position is restricted to candidates who hold passports outside of these regions.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research to stay informed about the crypto market dynamics.
• Identify and pitch compelling investment opportunities for internal review and decision making.
• Optimize execution of trade ideas with clear, crisp attention to detail.
• Research potential investments, from reviewing app documentation, to surfacing and asking critical questions to founders, discovering trends before they hit the mainstream.
• Building and modeling ideas in Excel or Dune, being a power user of DeFi Llama and other data platforms.

About You

Required Experience

• BS+ in STEM, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Finance.
• 3-5 years of crypto or crypto-adjacent trading experience, in a personal or professional capacity.
• Mathematically inclined, numerical and quantitative analysis skills.
• Strong idea generation and investment aptitude, with the ability to articulate and troubleshoot strategies and systems.
• Experience with a scripting language, preferably Python, and working with APIs.
• Crypto-native with a strong understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) markets, protocols, and projects.
• Previous involvement/interest in crypto.

Position Summary

Native is looking for an experienced Content Writer work on curating targeted and meaningful content across multiple social media channels and drive our overall social media strategy for both new and existing products across all business lines. This is a rare opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with other like-minded product managers, engineers, and business users to tackle real world challenges in the emerging DeFi space.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and execute on end-to-end content strategies to drive hype, awareness, and adoption of new business product lines
• Conceptualise and produce compelling content on a range of Web3 topics e.g Defi, NFTs, Web3 Social
• Adapt content and messaging across channels to drive engagement and leads
• Assist with content writing and editorial
• Identify white space, themes and pillars and develop creative, clutter-breaking content (written, graphic, video) across varied channels aligned to the overarching proposition and brands
• Work with internal and external partners to get content produced and amplified
• Channel management of all content, including twitter, discord, telegram
• Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices to identify new opportunities to engage on existing platforms and expand our presence to new platforms
• Monitor and report on the growth and health of our social media communities and use findings to continually refine our social media strategy
• Determine a best-in-class approach to community engagement on platforms such as Twitter and Discord
• Develop a deep understanding of Web3 consumers and Dapp developers

Job Requirements

• 1-3 years in the content marketing and writing for DeFi topics - with a track record of success, particularly on key platforms such as Twitter or Reddit
• Proven editorial skills. Outstanding command of the English and a popular second language used in crypto audiences such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Japanese, etc.
• A track record of running high impact growth marketing campaigns for technical audiences and consumers
• Must demonstrate creativity and strong writing skills for fast-moving social media formatted micro-content
• Good knowledge of Crypto/Blockchain/NFTs/Web 3
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative start-up environment and quickly shift and adapt to an evolving environment
• Able to understand and connect with target audiences across multiple platforms in real-time
• Experience with photography, copywriting, design, and basic video editing are pluses (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
