Senior Technical Support Systems Specialist
at Unanet
Anywhere in the United States
Our team is looking for a dynamic, client-facing Senior Technical Systems specialist to join Technical support team! You will start by learning our product offering and become familiar with our integration tools. Our ideal candidate will be tech savvy, a quick study, as well as someone who enjoys working on multiple, concurrent, and customer-facing projects.
Unanet’s industry-leading products integrate with numerous external systems, primarily through a suite of IPaaS solutions. You will collaborate with Product Development and the rest of our Technical Services Team to develop, implement, and extend IPaaS integration solutions. Additionally, you will work with our colleagues within our Professional Services Team to support existing interfaces built using our legacy integration technologies.
What You’ll Do
During the first year you will inventory and assess the services currently provided with a legacy integrations service called Automated Analyst. The Automated Analyst service is an add-on service for customers that provides data quality control and limited data transformation using Microsoft Access and Excel Refreshable Web queries. During this first year you will identify those services provided through the Automated Analyst that should be incorporated into the Unanet GovCon product and work with the Product Management/Product Development team to prioritize and get the features added to the product. For services that are not to be incorporated into the product, you will implement the equivalent service using the Workato platform.
- Collaborate with Project Management to maintain ongoing integration project schedules.
- Collaborate with our team on new tools and efficiencies
- Develop new methods of integrating with third-party systems
- Work with our Product and Technical Services Teams to support existing integrations, both legacy and Unanet Connect, and assist in developing, implementing, and extending new Unanet Connect integrations
- Extend, develop, and deploy solutions using Workato
Your First 90 Days
In your First 30 Days, you will be immersed in learning our products, solutions, tools, and development standards, including the data model as well as Technology Services policies and procedures. Product education will be at the forefront of your efforts, in concert with shadowing other Technology Consultants and Support team members during customer interactions and solution design and development.
In your First 60 Days, you will work to identify those services provided to existing customers that cannot be incorporated into the standard product and create an inventory of those services that need to be written up as Workato recipes. During this inventory assessment, you will also identify those services that are unique one-off solutions that cannot be satisfied with a repeatable recipe.
In your First 90 Days, you will continue to inventory the services that are currently provided to customers that can be incorporated into the standard product and start the process of defining the requirements for product enhancements in coordination with the product managers.
After 90 Days
Once you have trained up on the technology and services, you will inventory the service offerings provided to each customer of the Automated Analyst service and create a project plan for transitioning the customers off the Automated Analyst service and into either a Workato service or equivalent enhancements to the product. The Automated Analyst service is built on a standard set of offerings so the Workato solutions should be reusable for other customers making the transition off this legacy service.
Either build repeatable Workato recipes to move services off of the Automated Analyst or project manage enhancements to the product. You will coordinate with the customer to work through the transition off of the Automated Analyst service.
Who You Are
- 5+ years client-facing technical consulting experience
- Demonstrable experience working with REST APIs and building third-party software integrations with Workato
- Expertise with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel Refreshable Web Queries
- Ability to work with customers to troubleshoot technical issues
- Ability to multi-task across numerous client projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and team skills and the desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- High level of initiative to work alone or part of a team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
Your Differentiators
- Demonstrable experience with IPaaS and processes, Workato preferred
- Experience with development using Java
- Experience with development using SQL
Our Values
- We are a Team. Employees, customers, and partners working together.
- We are Customer-Focused. Customers are the heart of everything we do.
- We are Driven. Seeking exceptional outcomes.
- We Own our Success. Every employee has a stake in our company.
- We do the right thing and have fun in the process.
The salary range for this opportunity is $100,000 – $115,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time. You will further be eligible to participate in Unanet’s employee benefits plans and programs. For more details on Unanet’s benefits offerings, please visit https://unanet.com/employee-benefits.
Unanet is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applicants will be considered for positions without regard to race, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other consideration made unlawful by applicable federal, state or local laws.
