About the Role

As a Blockchain Operator (BlockOps) member with the Lodestar team, you will have the opportunity to make impactful contributions providing direct support to the Lodestar consensus client team and the Ethereum protocol ecosystem as a whole. You’ll improve collaboration and productivity by helping our team of core developers automate infrastructure, workflows and experiments by collaborating with other infrastructure professionals within ChainSafe and the larger collective of developers and node operators in the Ethereum ecosystem.

We’re seeking an inidual excited with helping Ethereum scale to become the most effective, impactful and valuable blockchain for global settlements. This position will work directly with consensus layer clients like Lodestar and execution clients which are critical to the success of Ethereum. This would include developing, using and maintaining innovative tooling/infrastructure to standup ephemeral multi-client devnets, staking node operations, metrics collection and block/client analysis. You will be expected to build custom tooling to solve problems, communicate these solutions to the team and the community as a whole. You’ll be joining a team of international specialists to ensure the success of the client software and the Ethereum protocol ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate, experiment and architect blockchain node infrastructure such as multi-client devnets, test limitations with automated tooling such as fuzzers and specification conformance testing
• Learning about the Ethereum protocol, its roadmap, and working with external community contributors to achieve milestones
• Familiarizing and operating Ethereum consensus and execution layer clients in various advanced configurations within public and private testnets
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support Lodestar during development and release cycles

To tackle this challenge, we are seeking an experienced Full Stack Senior Engineer: someone with track record of building world class web apps, guiding a team in developing with idiomatic, tested, and maintainable code. We are building in React, and assume candidates will either have basic mastery or have applicable experience.

You will…

• • Work with the design and product teams to set feature roadmap and release deadlines.
  • Be able to lead full stack front end and backend development, build and maintain high standards for work and work with the team to maintain them.
  • Guide the team in making intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-offs.
  • Design and implement user-facing products.
  • Apply deep understanding of web technologies to reason about engineering / design tradeoffs.
  • Have the foresight to recognize potential future issues and ensure the team is made aware, discusses, and mitigates the issues before they affect the business

What we look for

• • 7+ years of experience developing with front-end web technologies.
  • Commitment to mentorship, training and supporting one’s teammates.
  • Demonstrable experience as an effective technical team lead of full-stack development.
  • Vast knowledge of JS/CSS and Golang best practices and common pitfalls.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern javascript frameworks and tools (React, Redux, and Webpack a plus but not required.)
  • Working knowledge of Golang or C programming
  • Comfort working with CSS pre–processors (We use SASS) and strategies for writing maintainable CSS.

Potential range: 100k-225k

Salary range is dependent on geography, past experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
