Role Overview:

As the Head of Business Development, you will spearhead our efforts to strategically position Usual within the DeFi ecosystem. This role involves identifying potential DeFi protocol partners, negotiating and closing partnership deals, and managing the integration of these partnerships into our platform. You will play a crucial role in driving our growth, enhancing our market presence, and ensuring our user base continues to expand through strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partner Identification: Research, identify, and categorize potential DeFi partners that align with our strategic goals.
  • Partnership Development: Initiate and develop relationships, negotiate terms, and close deals with DeFi protocols.
  • Sales and Outreach Execution: Lead the outreach process, from initial contact to deal closure, using your deep understanding of DeFi technical and financial aspects.
  • Technical Liaison and Project Briefing: Act as the intermediary between our technical team and external partners.
  • Business Case Development: Create detailed business plans and cases for each partnership, outlining mutual benefits.
  • Project Management: Manage the cross-functional integration and launch of new partnerships.
  • High-Frequency Partnership Announcements: Consistently achieve the goal of announcing 2 to 3 new partnerships each week.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in business development within the DeFi sector, with a proven track record of successful partnerships and deals.
  • Deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including technical, financial, and tokenomic aspects.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-stakeholder relationships.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
