🎨 CALLING ALL ARTISTS: Collaborate with us on an era-appropriate 90s wordmark logo for a fictional organization in THE DISCO BALL universe ($200 USD and PROFIT POINTS)
This week, we at StoryCo launched our “Co-Create” and “Profit Points” initiatives. Co-Creates are invitations to creators worldwide to play a direct role in shaping our story universes and earn Profit Points in the process-a share of the profit of the underlying story IP. Both programs will be employed within our first narrative, THE DISCO BALL, a groundbreaking story created by established Hollywood talent.
THE DISCO BALL is written by acclaimed Hollywood Showrunner Kyle Killen (creator of HALO on Paramount Plus, FEAR STREET on Netflix, and AWAKE on NBC) illustrated by pop-artists duo shelby and sandy (https://www.instagram.com/shelbyandsandy/), and our soon to be announced A-list cast. Utilizing Co-Create and Profit Points, we will invite creators from around the world to build on top-of and extend the core elements of THE DISCO BALL universe.
Now is your chance to work hand-in-hand with established Hollywood professionals to create a rich, ever-evolving story universe, and earn a stake of the upside in what we’re confident will be the next great entertainment franchise.
Co-Create a 90’s-era Wordmark Logo Design for DBRIS!
One of our first Co-Creates is in the realm of art/graphic design, in which we are tasking you to create an era-appropriate 1990’s wordmark logo for the Disco Ball Research and Investigation Society (DBRIS) that would have been used for various internal communications and initiatives, such as organizational letterhead, newsletters, memos, and ID badges.
DBRIS will play a key role in the core narrative of THE DISCO BALL, eventually serving as a resource in the epic quest of Captain Alma Cooke and her team of astronauts aboard the ISS. They are a civilian organization dedicated to the study of Disco Ball Theory, which posits that our reality is composed of an infinite number of parallel universes existing simultaneously, much like the multitude of reflections created by a disco ball. Recently, DBRIS made the unprecedented decision to make their presence known to the public for the first time after years of dedicated research in the shadows. The International Director was a key architect of this decision.
For more info about DBRIS and a full recap video of how they fit into our recent “Prologue” experience, visit DBRIS.net.
The artistic direction of this wordmark logo should be historically accurate to the time-period. Think of the art created for music and movies, as well as the colors and overall vibe elicited in logos from the era. The logo should feel very “90s” yet should also make sense from the perspective of DBRIS and their mission. What cultural signifiers would a DBRIS graphic designer of this era draw from to make a company logo?
For more info and to submit your Co-Creation, visit: https://story.co/create/dbris-wordmark-logo-design. Please also reach out to any of our mods if you have any questions or issues.

About OneSchema
Every company needs to receive data from partners and customers. From a tech company onboarding a new client’s historical data to an insurance broker receiving pricing quotes, the not-so-shocking truth is that all these workflows run on manually sent spreadsheet files.

We're looking for someone who can create a unique brand identity, landing page designs with high-quality illustrations, & more.
Why you should consider this: This is not merely a part-time job opportunity but a chance to get the front-row seat of building something grand & be a part of it.

A design portfolio showcasing your design skills

Working hours: 15 hours/week
Do not apply, if:
you are looking for perks & systems-in-place of a big company or funded start-up
you need a lot of hand-holding
if you are not great at illustrations
We're a bootstrapped start-up poised to grow exponentially over the next months.
Apply with your portfolio & add the word 'DESIGN ROCKS' in your application so that we know you read the full post :)
