About the company
At Move AI, we're tackling the chaos and stress of moving by creating a simplified, customer-centric product that makes the entire moving process seamless.
We're developing a robust platform that handles every facet of relocation, from the initial planning to post-move recurring services. This isn't just about hiring a great mover or changing addresses. It's about building a comprehensive solution that answers to every possible worry, giving our customers the peace of mind they deserve during this transitional phase of their lives. Anything they made need in their life, we want to be there to connect them.
We're leveraging advanced AI and automation to not only enhance the customer experience but revolutionize marketplace experience as a whole. The fragmented, non-transparent nature of this industry is now our competitive advantage.
About the role
We're seeking a Founding Product Engineer at Move AI. This isn't a regular role - you'll be critical to the development of our product, from user research to front-end execution. You will have a significant equity stake in the business. If you have experience in design and full-stack development, that's exactly what we need. You'll spend weeks in Figma and then weeks coding.
About you
You want to work on a small team of people who are all builders. We're looking for someone who can communicate clearly and directly. You have the ability to identify the core issues. You should have substantial experience in product design and development, or enough to know where the usual potholes are. You're adept at using Figma and making quick, informed decisions. You know how to create a front end website using a modern javascript framework.
If this resonates with you, please apply here. Let's build something great.
What you'll own
Perform user research to understand the moving process and our customers painpoints better.
Work with the team to develop design an overall design strategy
Create many creative concepts quickly in Figma
Get feedback on those designs from the team
Iterate on feedback.
Making it real: You'll translate Figma to a front end html, css and javascript. Your ability to connect design to back-end/AI/ML is key.
What you'll do
You’ll be the design team (research, user experience, user interaction, visual design)
You'll be the front end team
What we're seeking
Must haves
Proficiency in rapid prototyping and interface design tools such as Figma.
Demonstrated ability to design user-centric products based on user research.
Proven ability to identify and address root problems efficiently.
Direct, straightforward communication style, able to convey complex concepts with clarity.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions based on your experience and judgement.
A track record of shipping high-quality software products on time.
Experience with agile development methodologies and a preference for a fast-paced, iterative design and development process.
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React, Vue, Angular).
Nice to Haves
Strong experience with full-stack development. We need you to be able to contribute across the entire tech stack
Experience or interest in AI and machine learning, as our product heavily relies on these technologies.
Prior work in a startup environment. Comfort with quick changes and a high degree of autonomy is beneficial.
Knowledge or experience about the moving process. Certainly not a deal breaker if you've never moved in your life, but probably a red flag if you've lived in the same place your whole life.
Back-end experience, particularly with cloud services and databases.

Product Designer, Customer Engagement
- Los Angeles, CA, United States

- Full-time
Company Description
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale. Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.Job Description
Customer Engagement products help sellers grow their businesses and build lasting customer relationships. Specifically, this role will focus on House Accounts (which enables sellers to maintain ongoing balances for their customers), Square Gift Cards (which help drive new and repeat traffic with benefits like upfront cash flow, lower processing fees, larger transactions, and an incentive for customers to return), and Square Marketing (which helps sellers manage and grow their customer relationships, increase sales and brand equity, and save time with robust, personalized, and integrated Email and Text Message Marketing solutions). As a Product Designer at Square, you will collaborate with Customers designers, engineers, product managers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members to directly influence and oversee the product and roadmap. This role is unique since you will not only support sellers but will also directly design and champion the buyer experiences. You will report to the Customer Design Lead.

This is not a normal job.
We're looking for a designer constrained by logic/reason in their design; focused on the minimal viable solution to create the desired impact; and which has a fundamental understanding of conversion-optimization techniques. It could be as few as 3 hrs/wk, but the sky is the limit as ROI drives us. But that's not important yet.
How about we start here:
Normal Job: Your boss tells you what to do. Your boss tells you how to do it.
Nadine West: You decide what to do based on our goals. We figure out how to do it. You change the company.
What Is The Role?
We prefer not to box you into a specific label. We don't want to confuse 'skills' with 'jobs'.
How do you do your job?
1. Identify Problems (what's holding us back from hitting our goals)
2. Solve Problems (as fast as you can)
What You Bring To The Table
You love the art and science of design (typography, tools, flow, aesthetics). You love the thrill of increasing conversion-rate. It's like a game. We trust your logical decision-making. You'll have the freedom to gather insights, talk to users, look at data.
Your ideas are only as good as the effects they produce on the user-behavior.
We don't design for the sake of design. We design for the user.
LEADER
We want you to lead. You don't follow direction, you create direction. Push our pace. You accept nothing less than the A-game of those around you. Call B.S. when you see it. Sloppy execution = B.S. Opinions w/o Evidence = B.S. Let's call each other out.
SCALE
We're a lean team. Every person wears many hats. You'll need to as well.
This Is Interesting. Now What?
Talk is cheap. Interviews are incredibly difficult to discern good fits. Historic work is good, but not perfect. We try to run a very short, paid test to cover the gap (3-5 hrs of work). If you test, interpret the instructions as you see fit. Better yet, let us know why the test is dumb and what the actual test should be. We want you to demonstrate your best self: How you identify and solve problems How fantastic your intuition is (even with your minimal exposure to us) The dynamic range of your skills (why you're not just an 'artistic' designer)

Hi! We are looking to hire a UI/UX designer to help move our platform design from MVP/V1 piloting phase to a V2 scaled launching phase. We want professional talent that can improve on our learnings and work to date. I've attached a full in-depth brief to this message, but here are the first few paragraphs for some context. Brand Background: DAIGON Esports is the premier international school-focused esports and gaming company. Founded by international school alumni with the support of exited founders in the international school activities software space, DAIGON Esports seeks to empower international school students across the world through their passion for esports and gaming. To fulfill that mission, DAIGON Esports hosts esports competitions between international schools as well as educational gaming after-school clubs aimed at building game design skills. This brief is just a first step in our conversation and we look forward to discussing this proposal with pre-selected candidates as we are looking for a UI/UX designer that we can trust with a critical part of our success and that hopefully we can keep working with as we keep iterating. Please fill in the Monday.com form aatached to this job description and we will reach out.
