**Responsibilities
**You’ll be working with Chief Designer Jon Tan and a small team of designers. We try to balance the freedom to explore ideas, focused design time, and creative support.
Our first product is in the early stages of design and development, so you’ll play a critical role in helping to shape it. Here are some of the other things you’ll be up to along the way:
- Apply human-centered design principles to craft durable, inclusive, and engaging user experiences
- Produce prototypes, low- and hi-fidelity sketches, comps, and interfaces
- Support the creation of a design system, and apply it across multiple platforms
- Collaborate effectively with other designers, engineers, and writers in a relaxed team structure
**Qualifications
**Ideally, you’re an experienced mobile product designer — used to taking a product from inception to launch — who recognizes the value in having the autonomy and time to do great work.
College degrees, certifications, and prestigious accolades are not required. General life experience, expertise in your area, curiosity, and generosity with skills and knowledge are more important.
We’d love to hear about your experience:
- Designing native mobile apps, in particular for iOS, from scratch
- Communicating the thinking behind interfaces and experiences you’ve designed
- Using sound, haptics, and animation to further user experience goals
- Effectively applying iconography, typography, and color theory
**Benefits
**Doing meaningful work shouldn’t come at the expense of building a meaningful life. At Matter, this means:
- Four-day work week: Monday through Thursday
- 20 vacation days of your choice, plus the last week in December off
- Remote-first work environment: work out of our Boulder, CO office, or wherever else
- Flexible hours, so long as you can accommodate meetings during ET working hours
- 100% of premium healthcare coverage for you and your dependents
**To apply
**Even though we’re all pretty experienced, we all learn something new almost every day. It may be about neuroscience, design, or technology. Or it may be about something else entirely. We’ll be excited to learn from you, too.
If you’re interested in this role, send the following to [email protected]:
- A paragraph or two about your experience and why you’re interested in this role
- Link(s) to an app or two that you’ve worked on, with a couple sentences about your contributions

What is Dtravel?
Dtravel is the first vacation rental platform with blockchain technology and web3 at its core. Our mission is to create a rewarding travel experience for everyone through direct connections. To achieve this mission we are working on building an ecosystem of products; Dtravel Direct, Dtravel Meridian and Dtravel Protocol.
Dtravel Direct - Allows hospitality operators to easily create a brand, drive new direct bookings, increase average checkout value, and reduce dependency on OTAs.
Dtravel Meridian - Enables travelers to collect digital mementos and rewards travelers for completing trips.
Dtravel Protocol - Enables travel industry participants to openly use and build on Dtravel’s global blockchain based distribution network to read, write and distribute listing data.
Join us in creating a more fair, transparent and rewarding travel experience.
Why Design at Dtravel?
If you are passionate about travel, you love problem solving, and you’re curious about web3, Dtravel is the place for you. As a Designer at Dtravel, you’ll be working on problems at the forefront of the future of the internet and commerce, crafting solutions for the following:
Trust: How might we utilize “trustless” mechanisms of blockchain technology to facilitate seamless peer-to-peer transactions and interactions between operators and guests with no middlemen or intermediaries? How might design thinking generate more consumer trust in web3 concepts, at large?
Governance & Community: How might we empower our community members to be active participants in shaping the future of our project? What will the design process look like when we’re designing with our community, rather than for them?
Dispute Resolution: What does the future of customer service look like without centralized intermediaries? How might we engage our DAO to resolve issues between community members?
Identity, Reputation & Credentials: How might we decentralize reviews and online reputation of operators and guests? What does a future travel industry look like when reputation and reviews aren’t contained inside each travel provider, but instead bridge across many different booking platforms?
Loyalty: How might the future of online reputation pave the way for new mechanisms of decentralized loyalty and rewards programs?
Education: How might we utilize education to create an easier on-ramp for more people to experience the benefits of ownership, freedom, and control that web3 has to offer?
What Will I be Working On?
This position offers the opportunity to work on ground-breaking products that will redefine the future of travel and commerce.
Hospitality operator tools: Define and design the tools short-term rental operators need to run their business as effectively and enjoyably as possible. This can include listing page creation and management, calendar and reservation management, marketing products, messaging tools, and more.
Guest and Operator loyalty programs: How might we reward guests and operators for positive behavior?
Guest and Operator referral programs: How can we make it easy and rewarding for our community to help grow itself?
Operator onboarding: How might we bring new operators onto the platform as easily as possible while educating them on new concepts, such as cryptocurrencies and DAOs? How might that experience differ for an owner-operator with one property vs a property manager with 1,000 properties?
Guest platform: Define and design the future of search, aggregation, wish lists, wallet infrastructure, listing pages, checkout flows, messaging, and more.
Governance tools: What does it look like when a community of thousands or millions of operators, guests, and token holders are submitting proposals and voting on the future of the protocol?
Am I the Right Culture Fit?
You are a good culture fit if you align with our values:
You value ownership
You believe the future of the internet is built around the foundational pillar of granting more ownership to people and communities, rather than centralized corporations
You put this value to practice by taking initiative to bring positive results and fully owning the entire process of your work from start to finish
You strike a balance between inidual accountability and trusting in the ownership of your teammates.
You seek and give feedback, but are able to disagree and commit in the interest of progress
You value consciousness and intentionality
You listen to our community and are conscious of how your actions affect our team and community members
You are a direct, honest, and respectful communicator
You are always positive in your intentions and your tone
You communicate your intentions to build trust

You maintain transparency with your teammates and our community
You’re honest, communicative, and don’t keep secrets
You believe transparency is paramount in building trust
Do I Have the Necessary Skills?

About Matter
Matter is a small but growing startup. Our first product is an iOS app that pairs personal experience with universal neuroscience to help everyone understand what’s happening in their brain.
Our goal is to help people live healthier, happier, longer lives — for themselves and the people around them.
Learn more about the science behind Matter.
We’re a small, fully-remote team committed to doing our best work. For us this means balance. We work Monday through Thursday. In addition to every Friday, we offer 20 vacation days per year, plus the last week of December. Compensation includes stock options. The salary range for this full-time role is $120,000 to $160,000.
Learn more about working at Matter.
Responsibilities
You’ll be working with Chief Designer Jon Tan and a small team of designers. We try to balance the freedom to explore ideas, focused design time, and creative support.
Our first product is in the early stages of design and development, so you’ll play a critical role in helping to shape it. Here are some of the other things you’ll be up to along the way:
Apply human-centered design principles to craft durable, inclusive, and engaging user experiences
Produce prototypes, low- and hi-fidelity sketches, comps, and interfaces
Support the creation of a design system, and apply it across multiple platforms
Collaborate effectively with other designers, engineers, and writers in a relaxed team structure
Qualifications
Ideally, you’re an experienced mobile product designer — used to taking a product from inception to launch — who recognizes the value in having the autonomy and time to do great work.
College degrees, certifications, and prestigious accolades are not required. General life experience, expertise in your area, curiosity, and generosity with skills and knowledge are more important.
We’d love to hear about your experience:
Designing native mobile apps, in particular for iOS, from scratch
Communicating the thinking behind interfaces and experiences you’ve designed
Using sound, haptics, and animation to further user experience goals
Effectively applying iconography, typography, and color theory
Benefits
Doing meaningful work shouldn’t come at the expense of building a meaningful life. At Matter, this means:
Four-day work week: Monday through Thursday
20 vacation days of your choice, plus the last week in December off
Remote-first work environment: work out of our Boulder, CO office, or wherever else
Flexible hours, so long as you can accommodate meetings during ET working hours
100% of premium healthcare coverage for you and your dependents
To apply
Even though we’re all pretty experienced, we all learn something new almost every day. It may be about neuroscience, design, or technology. Or it may be about something else entirely. We’ll be excited to learn from you, too.
If you’re interested in this role, send the following to [email protected]:
A paragraph or two about your experience and why you’re interested in this role
Link(s) to an app or two that you’ve worked on, with a couple sentences about your contributions
A link to your portfolio or other representation of your work
Anything else you’d like us to know about you or your work
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Is this you?
You look at mobile projects on Dribble.
You are not impressed.
There are too many things on one screen.
There is no visual hierarchy.
There is too much scrolling for the user.
You feel that the designer is concerned with "looking good" not about the user having a "great experience"
But you can design the best aesthetically pleasing designs too.
You're quick.
You're data driven.
You don't have an ego, but base your decisions on one central question.
"Will this benefit the user?"
You have ownership and love having your designs being shipped to millions of users.
Is this you?
If so, we'd love to work with you.

Modular Cloud is building the next-gen version of a product known as a “block explorer”. Blockchain data is typically hard to access and understand. Block explorers solve this problem by presenting the data on the web in a human-readable format.
From a design perspective, our block explorer is different from others in the following ways:
It is a power tool for developers. Think about how Superhuman revolutionized the UX of email. Or how Linear made mundane product management delightful. We want to create a similarly elevated experience for developers accessing blockchain data—allowing them to efficiently access what they need in the most enjoyable way possible.
Our technology platform is customizable. There is no one-size-fits all. There are thousands blockchain protocols and smart contracts in existence. How can we craft a universal UI perfectly suited to each of these use cases? We can’t. Therefore, we are building programmability and customizability into our application.
Everything is open source. Our designs and code will all be open to the public. While the company does maintain some proprietary IP, the block explorer is completely open. People can look at the designs, read the code, learn from it, use it, and run it locally. We want to give back to the community.
This role is for the main designer at the company. As a result, these will be the responsibilities:
Design strategy. How should we approach design given the company’s objectives?
Creativity. This is a creative role. We deeply value this capacity.
UI and UX. We need someone who can create beautiful, functional designs based on the needs of our users. This includes things like animated page transitions, custom icons, and building a design system.
Wear many hats. Since this role is for our main designer, this person will also need to be able to help with designing landing pages, creating marketing assets, and managing design contractors.
Branding. Although we will likely engage an outside agency for branding, we need our in-house designer to be a part of this process.
Work closely with the founders. Modular Cloud is a small company that raised $1.7M in venture capital. This role will report directly to the CEO (who is also the frontend developer).
Qualifications
Evidence of exceptional ability (portfolio or work experience)
No blockchain familiarity needed

Do you have a passion for making complex functionality more approachable? Do you have a knack for understanding complex systems and designing simple, elegant user interfaces for them? We need your help! Customer.io is looking for a Senior Product Designer II to join our team.
Our product design team is working hard to build a product that enables companies to build inventive, flexible and empathetic automated communications with their customers. You'll join a team of 7 other designers in a remote and distributed company of ~220 team members across 17 countries.
Some things you'll do:
As a Senior Product Designer II, you'll partner with a Product Manager and a team of engineers to lead a squad solving specific customer needs. You'll research and design solutions while also working with the squad to prioritize projects, build customer empathy, and measure the success of new features. You'll push the entire design team to create more impactful experiences by giving great feedback, iterating on team processes, and holding people accountable for our culture and quality standards. A few likely tasks you’ll engage in regularly are:
Develop an understanding and compassion for customers through research
Create design proposals for new features and collaborate with engineers on prototypes
Participate in the product team's prioritization of work, advocating for influential design improvements
Help shape the design team's culture and design processes, including sharing thoughtful 1:1 feedback with peers
About you
You’re an experienced product designer with 5+ years of experience in a software development setting
Your design executions display a high level of craft, and you have a strong ability to communicate the “why” behind your designs to partners and stakeholders
You have a history of influencing others to value the impact of design on overall business success
You have a growth mindset and a willingness to receive and provide feedback, and learn from mistakes
You thrive with autonomy and ownership, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity
You are comfortable communicating asynchronously, including across time zones
What we're looking for
Ideally, you should be located in the Americas (North, Central, or South); while we are a global company, this is to ensure some amount of time-zone overlap with the squad you’ll be working with
You should be familiar with designing within the constraints of a design system and how interfaces are built from components
You will have past experience designing complex, B2B software. It’s not a requirement, but if you have an understanding of automated messaging, such as how companies leverage data like events to build target segments, that’s even better
You will have experience using tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, FullStory and others to gather their own customer insights and incorporate them into their design decision making
If you don't meet all of these criteria, please apply anyway. We are looking for the right person, not the perfect person.
