We are looking for someone US-based to join the Business Development team and drive Axelar’s efforts to build and expand strategic partnerships within the DeFi ecosystem. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and building relationships with DeFi projects and partners, and driving new business opportunities. This is an inidual contributor role.

Your responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic partnerships to expand Axelar’s interoperability network. Identify and engage with DeFi projects that can benefit from Axelar network.
• Systematically develop relationships, taking them to the next level through creative, tailored solutions across erse partnerships and collaborations. Leverage market insights to continuously devise new ways to collaborate.
• Manage day-to-day business development activities, including lead generation, client interactions, pipeline tracking, and account planning. Structure proposals and negotiate contracts with partners.
• Conduct in-depth research on the latest DeFi trends. Stay up-to-date with new developments and identify opportunities for Axelar to innovate and expand in the DeFi space.
• Monitor and support partners through the technical implementation process, ensuring a smooth and successful integration.
• Collect partner feedback and share insights with the business development team for consolidation and analysis. Ensure the feedback loop strengthens product development and business strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Engineering, and Developer Relations to shape Axelar’s business development strategy. Provide input into product development based on feedback from partners and market needs.

Your profile

• Must be DeFi native, and live on-chain.
• Previous experience in a BD role in Web3 is a plus.
• Deep understanding of the interoperability landscape is a plus.
• Ability to think strategically about the DeFi and the Web3 ecosystem and how Axelar’s technology can provide value to partners and users.

Your role is simple:

Find high-quality existing and up-and-coming protocol teams in crypto and convey the superiority of Sherlock audits to them.

Of course, in practice this role involves a lot of skills. 

A strong understanding of DeFi and smart contract security is a plus, but it's not needed to get started in this role. 

You'll need to be very skilled at both speaking and writing: Sherlock makes important decisions and weighs tradeoffs exclusively in written communication, and many protocol teams want to see a face and hear a voice before choosing an auditor.

Create end-to-end app experiences — from first tap to long-term engagement Lead UX/UI design for new and existing features across iOS and Android Collaborate with product managers, engineers, support, marketing, and our GM and Creative Director to bring ideas to life Champion customer empathy, ensuring accessibility and clarity for every user segment — especially the digitally curious and underserved Identify and craft delightful micro-interactions that surprise and retain users Create design systems, prototypes, and final assets for engineering Bonus: Develop or guide Lottie animations to add polish and personality

4+ years of experience designing consumer mobile apps A portfolio that shows both strong usability and creative, opinionated work Excellent grasp of Figma, prototyping tools, and mobile design best practices Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments Deep understanding of human-centered design and the ability to translate insights into features Curiosity, humility, and the ability to listen before solving Bonus: familiarity with Lottie animation workflows or motion design

💸 Compensation 

This position is at-will and is a 1099 contractor position. Pay range is $50-$75 per hour, DOE. Estimated weekly time commitment of 20 hours and is not eligible for overtime. This could increase with business needs. The estimated commitment length is 12 months. As a 1099 contractor position this role is not eligible for health benefits or paid leave. 100% remote - work where and when you want to.

Develop and enhance our infrastructure using AWS, EKS, Istio, ArgoCD, Terraform Cloud and Confluent Cloud. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systems and develop new features. Monitor, upgrade, and automate systems to guarantee stability, security, and high performance using tools like Datadog, Opsgenie and AI.  Enhance our Terraform codebase and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid feature delivery. Architect and implement scalable solutions for complex technical challenges. Drive automation and infrastructure as code practices to streamline operations.

Who you are

Over 6 years of experience with Expertise in AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, RDS, EKS, KMS etc.). Minimum of 3 years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS and Terraform. Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, and some experience with ArgoCD. Experience in Python, Golang, Kafka is preferred. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL on Aurora/RDS, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis. Enthusiastic about new technologies and able to build strong relationships across various engineering squads.

Design Advanced Trading Experiences: Craft user interfaces and experiences tailored to the needs of professional traders, focusing on features like detailed charting tools, advanced order types, orders books, real-time data, and order management. Own End-to-End Design: Lead projects from initial concept to launch, including user research, wireframing, prototyping (low to high fidelity), testing, and refining designs based on feedback and insights. Use these insights to create impactful designs that resonate with this user base. Who You Are

You have 3+ years of experience designing complex products or applications, preferably within fintech, or a high-growth tech environment and skilled at designing for professional or advanced traders, with an understanding of their workflows, challenges, and needs. You are able to translate complex functionality into intuitive interfaces that enable quick decision-making and efficient trading. You bring a range of UX design skills, including strong UX research or content design capabilities, and excel at handling projects with minimal direction in a dynamic environment. You’re proficient in tools like Figma, Miro, JIRA, and enjoy exploring new technologies and design trends. You’re passionate about understanding user behavior and needs, leveraging UX research, quantitative and qualitative data to create innovative solutions. You work seamlessly with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, constraints, and priorities.
