YOUR POSITION

YOUR EXPERIENCE – Basic Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, plus a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other STEM area.
• 3+ years leading an agile software development team.
• 5+ years experience developing complex front-end applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience integrating and leveraging LLMs to enhance product functionality and user experiences, including natural language processing, recommendation systems, or other AI-driven functionalities.
• Experience in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility issues, ensuring consistent user experiences across different devices and browsers.
• Experience with component-driven development and proficiency in tools like Storybook for building and maintaining design systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

Our app has some unique scaling challenges due to multiple, large live streamed events occurring nearing daily. We have a monolithic Rails application which needs some refactoring love, new microservices to build in order to break down the monolith into smaller discrete chunks, and of course we need to continue to add value for our clients by building new features and iterating on the ones already in place.

• Creating microservices to support new features in Path LMS which are scalable, well tested, and conform to industry and company standards.
• Assisting in refactoring our monolithic Rails application, including implementing large-scale database schema changes, modifying existing microservices, and identifying areas of the application which are in need of refactoring.
• Contributing in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design reviews, writing user stories, reviewing code submitted by other engineers, and automated testing (we use rspec).
• Helping us add value to the software via continuous improvements in processes, procedures, and implementation and iteration of product features.
• Collaborating effectively with engineers, project managers, designers and QA in an agile (Scrum) environment by participating in project scoping and planning, including shaping and estimating of project tasks.
• Helping to educate and mentor other engineers.
• Organizing and participating in on-call duties for production issues. Don’t worry – you won’t be on-call all the time for all the things. We simply ask that you be included in the rotation. We activate our on-call system maybe twice a year as most incidents occur during business hours.

What We Need (the must-have requirements):

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with at least 4 years of experience building web-based applications with Ruby on Rails (version 5-7).
• Great OO skills, including strong design pattern and MVC knowledge.
• Experience using JQuery and Coffeescript to implement responsive UI interactions; additionally a deep understanding of HTML, HAML, and how to build and refactor RoR views.
• Some familiarity with or experience with modern Javascript frameworks such as Stimulus, Stimulus-Reflex, React, and/or Vue, as integrated into an existing RoR monolith.
• Experience integrating applications and microservices with third-party APIs using JSON, SOAP, SAML, XML-RPC.
• Experience using and interacting with applications and microservices utilizing OAuth and JWT authentication schemes.
• Experience building and/or maintaining microservices utilizing RESTful JSON interfaces.
• Experience with building and improving SQL database schemas (we currently use Postgresql).

Key Responsibilities

• Work with senior technical stakeholders to design and implement robust backend and frontend solutions.
• Advocate for code quality and rapid business value, while creating exceptional software and user experiences
• Drive architecture and implementation decisions, getting hands-on with code to bring features to life, squash bugs, while consistently keeping tech debt in check.

Mathematica is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join the Health Unit’s Health Solutions Insights (HSI) team. We’re looking for team members who want to apply their technical skills to shape an equitable and just world, where evidence drives decisions for global impact in healthcare.

Examples of recent work completed by this team include:

• As part of the AI Health Outcomes Challenge held by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, members of this team developed a cloud data pipeline and machine learning architecture to make predictions with a large multiyear sample of Medicare beneficiaries with detailed claims data about millions of people. POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a talented Frontend Developer with experience in Angular, React, and Azure to join our team. Role Overview:

This is a dynamic role that works across Bodhi Group as a whole. The role will lead Bodhi Labs’ tech initiatives and work closely with the Ventures team, the Liquid Portfolio team, and our portfolio companies from time to time.

As part of Labs, you will work closely with the Ventures team, supporting them in technical due diligence for new investments and providing insight into technology trends and opportunities. On the Liquid side, you will work closely with the Liquid portfolio manager, to build out internal portfolio management and trading systems that will add value to the performance of the fund. Finally, you will also work with our portfolio companies on an ad-hoc basis, to support them from a technical standpoint.

This role requires a robust technical understanding of web3, including smart contracts and EVM, experience shipping and taking engineering projects to production, plus a strategic mindset to oversee new product developments. Thumbtack recently launched a new customer experience to help homeowners care for their home through personalized guidance, planning tools to avoid procrastination and a seamless way to rebook your favorite pros. This role is focused on helping homeowners go from just hiring a pro when things go wrong to introducing them to being proactive creating a plan for caring for their home.

Challenge

We have technical problems ranging from mobile experiences and performances, high scale backend systems, and to machine learning optimization algorithms. Many of the experiences that we build in our apps are to onboard, engage, and convert our users which requires consistent A/B tests in relation to their experiences. Our challenges are pretty open ended, and we move real fast!

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering projects to completion, with a tenacious focus on the business impact of those projects. Skilled at prioritizing tasks to deliver on goals with a sense of urgency.
