About Masabi:
At Masabi, we are helping to make cities better places to live, work and visit by enabling seamless, frictionless journeys on public transport systems. We are a SaaS company developing a fare collection platform that allows people to buy and present tickets for public transit on their mobile phones or by tapping a bank card or smart card to travel.
We believe a new fare payments system allowing passengers to tap and ride without needing to buy a ticket or understand fares should be available to every passenger and every transit agency around the globe, without prohibitive costs or taking years to deliver, helping people move seamlessly from A to B.
Our Justride platform has won numerous awards and is used in over 150 locations worldwide, including New York, London, Boston, Las Vegas, Valencia, The Hague, Los Angeles, Melbourne, and many more. With an exciting industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we are partnering with companies like Uber, Lyft, Transit, Moovit to enable the purchase of public transit tickets within leading mobility applications.
Join us on this exciting ride as we build the transit technology ecosystem of tomorrow.
The Role
Masabi is looking for developers to join our expanding Justride Validation team, which is responsible for both the backend server infrastructure powering our ticket validation systems and the software running on the devices in the field. - Value collaboration, as you will learn how to excel as a team member by working closely not just with peers and colleagues from different areas of the business.
- You will adapt to implement high-quality, high-performance software whether it be destined for a cloud server, serverless or on a constrained device.
- Passionate about technology and customer experiences.
- Must be approachable, patient and an excellent communicator, a team player.
- Experience mentoring junior software engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective and productive.
Our Stack
- Java 8+ / Kotlin
- Gitlab / Bitbucket / Bamboo / Gradle / Maven / Artifactory / Puppet / Docker
- Cloud hosted, Terraform/Puppet managed, PCI-DSS certified platform infrastructure

Job Title: Software Engineer-2
Description
We are looking for passionate software engineers to work with our executive team, product managers, and other engineers to develop scalable microservices that can meet both the functional and scaling needs of large retail companies in the supply chain space. Prior experience with supply chain concepts is not required – you will be amazed at how much computer science and ML concepts overlap with supply chain ideas.
You will work to develop both internal and customer-facing software that makes mission-critical decisions for some of the world’s largest retail companies as they move inventory from suppliers to warehouses to shippers to customers.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software services and libraries used by our customers to run their supply chains and customer-facing businesses.
- Work interactively with executives and PMs to figure out the right technical path to solve customer problems.
- Document systems and code for use by other engineers on the team using models and diagrams.
- Unit test and load test software that you have built to ensure it is correct and meets our customers' performance and scale needs.
- Debug production issues and get our customers back up and shipping.
Technologies & Techniques
- Willingness to learn about a new space and new ways of approaching it!
- Solid fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Solid Java background, bonus for optimizing long-running REST services.
- Solid unit testing experience.
- Experience with processing both streaming and batch data.
- Experience with Relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience building highly scalable, highly available distributed systems is a big bonus.
Experience
- We expect 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience for most software engineer candidates.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field is required for this role.
Shipium is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to ersity and inclusion in the workplace. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic as outlined by federal, state, or local laws.
This policy applies to all employment practices within our organization, including hiring, recruiting, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, leave of absence, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeship. Shipium makes hiring decisions based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs at the time.
****Although based out of Seattle, WA, Shipium is 100% remote and hiring in the following locations: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
We’re looking for an end to end web developer to help us not only build better software but build a better company and have a positive impact on the world around us. We value developers who are able to solve problems using both innovative and pragmatic thinking. As part of a small team, you will be working closely with the CTO/co-founder, 1-2 other developers, and the rest of the company to ensure that we are delivering the best possible solutions to our customers.
**
Job role**This role is a combination of new feature development, feature enhancements/maintenance, and bug fixing. For new feature development, you’ll be responsible for building and designing brand new features for our application, like a knowledge base usage report. You’ll need to be able to own that new feature through the entire development cycle (design, build, test, document) and help support it with enhancements and bug fixes after its initial release. We want someone who has the technical chops to build out brand new features and functionalities on the backend and unravel existing functionality and code. It’s a bonus if you also have an eye for UX design.
Part of your responsibilities will also be to maintain and improve the existing codebase, which includes fixing bugs, troubleshooting, and potential refactoring work. We have a very small team of developers and a legacy codebase. Our size necessitates taking initiative and solving problems you’ve likely never encountered before. We’ve been working hard to modernize all of our tech. While we’ve come a long way, we still have more work to do. If you can find joy in the creative process of implementing improvements without tearing everything down, you will be a major asset to our team.
In all cases, while we want you to take ownership of your work, that doesn’t mean you’re working in a vacuum. The rest of the team (and anyone else in the company) will gladly help you–but if you’re the lead developer on a feature, we expect you to own it and keep it moving forward. Our ideal candidate is someone who is able to work independently (self-managing) while still being able to collaborate with the rest of the team and the company as a whole.
Also, if you noticed the “document” part of the feature development cycle and panicked–don’t worry! You’re not expected to write product documentation, but you’ll serve as a subject matter expert for any questions our documentarian might have on features you build.
Since we’re a small team, there’s an opportunity to wear multiple hats with room to grow. For example, if you are interested in cloud engineering and devops, you would have the opportunity to jump in, learn, and do. A parliament is a group of owls and we try to keep our parliament balanced, with each owl doing the types of work that we enjoy, regardless of role. So we’re not just looking for someone who has a particular skill set, but also someone who’s interested in being part of our collaborative team, who’s comfortable in a code review but also enjoys talking a little bit of company strategy and big picture.
Job role breakdown (Less words, more bullet points)
- Work independently, self-manage
- End to end feature development
- Design
- Build
- Test
- Document (working with documentarian)
- Support/maintenance (bugs, continuing enhancements)

She knows our customers and product better than anyone. She's been here since ground zero with Pete. She's the ultimate source of KO knowledge, and she'll be there to help with anything you need.
- Will Simpson, Chief Operations Owl: As the COO, his job is to provide servant leadership, management, and accountability to the operations team. You will report to him.

About the Obama Foundation
At the Obama Foundation, we are guided by a core belief: that ordinary people working together can change history. Our mission is to inspire those people to take action, empower them to change their world for the better, and connect them so they can achieve more together than they can alone.
We were founded by community organizers, so when we seek change, we do it by bringing people together.
That approach begins at home, on the South Side of Chicago, where we are building the Obama Presidential Center. The Center represents a historic opportunity for Chicago: a chance to build a world-class museum and public gathering space that celebrates our nation’s first African American President and First Lady, steps away from where he began his career, where she was raised, and where—together—they made their home.
But that approach extends to all our work, whether it’s holding leadership training sessions in communities throughout the U.S., bringing local leaders together in countries around the world, working to support the global education of girls, or ensuring young men of color have pathways to opportunity.
As President Obama has said, “we cannot solve the challenges of our time unless we solve them together.” So join us.
Purpose of the Role
The Obama Foundation has a small but rapidly growing product engineering team that has two missions: to build a digital ecosystem of tools for the next generation of leaders and activists that amplifies their efforts in bringing positive change to their communities, and building the foundational technology and digital infrastructure for the future Obama Presidential Center – a 21st century museum for the first 21st century presidency.
We operate similar to any other startup engineering team, defining our work in quarterly roadmaps, iterating in sprints, and making decisions in collaboration with our product, design and user research partners. Our stack makes heavy use of Javascript, and we build our web applications with an eye towards component driven design leveraging Svelte, Storybook and Tailwind. As a small team, we all consider ourselves t-shaped developers. We are all generalists who can move around the stack and even different technologies, but we all have passions and areas where we go deep and nerd out. We hope you do too, and we want to know what those passions are!
We are a well funded, fully remote team of erse backgrounds, called to this work and bringing skills honed from e-commerce, media, health sciences, fintech, as well as non profit and political technology. We value accessibility, inclusivity, and the richness of thought that comes from the many paths that one can take to becoming a software developer. Even if your experience does not match every item in this description, we encourage you to apply and look forward to meeting you.
This position will report to the Director of Engineering and work collaboratively with peers in the broader Product and Technology team.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Build the front-end of engaging accessible web apps from foundation to polish
- Implement services and infrastructure to support rich web experiences in a microservices architecture
- Work in partnership with Design and Product, utilizing tools like Figma and Miro, to take detailed specifications and turn them into functional applications, tracking work via Jira and Github issues.
- Implement and maintain a rigorous test suite against common user scenarios
- Contribute to planning, architecture, implementation, integration, and review of software development process inidually and among the greater team
- Evaluate and recommend additional tools, frameworks, and services as our application footprint evolves.
- Work at scale to help deliver our mission of moving people from hope to action to millions around the world
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Deliverables / Outcomes
- Work with the Director of Engineering to define, own and drive key quarterly goals for our application development and infrastructure
- Meaningfully own one or more new technology domains at the Foundation for web, mobile and other applications
- Incremental delivery of world class web applications, following and advancing our product roadmap along with the larger Product and Technology team
- Participate in team-wide code review processes
- Participate and advocate for the user during planning and brainstorming sessions
- Architect, write, test, and maintain various web applications
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years experience or more with implementation and delivery of front-end code, written in React, Svelte, or other technologies
- 3–5 years experience or more with NodeJS, Python, Elixir, Sveltekit, or similar full stack development environments and toolsets
- You have implemented work within a microservices architecture through Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
- You have been the lead engineer for at least one small successful product team, and are comfortable working in iterative cycles, breaking down complex work, and sharing ideas with fellow senior engineers
- You thrive in erse, self-starting, collaborative settings, and are passionate about building highly responsive and broadly accessible applications for a common good
- You have knowledge of and experience with A11y and WCAG standards and implementation practices
- You have 2 or more years of experience with one or more of these areas: graph theory, marketplaces and payments, humane technology, design systems, full text search, serverless computing, integration with physical infrastructure/technology
The salary range for this role is between $107,529 and $179,215, with new staff rarely starting at the top of the range and most often targeting a mid-point of $143,372.
Don’t check off every box in the requirements listed above? Please apply anyway! Studies have shown that marginalized communities – such as women, LGBTQ+ and people of color – are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. The Obama Foundation is dedicated to building an inclusive, erse, equitable, and accessible workplace that fosters a sense of belonging – so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to still consider submitting an application. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another one our openings!
In the interest of employee health and safety during the pendency of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Obama Foundation is requiring that all prospective employees present proof that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19, or seek a reasonable accommodation for religious or medical reasons, prior to their first day of employment.
Equal Opportunity Employer
The Foundation is committed to creating a erse work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. The Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, parental status, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable laws. We encourage iniduals of all backgrounds to apply. If you are a qualified candidate with a disability, please e-mail us at: if you require a reasonable accommodation to complete this application.
Title: Android Engineer
Location: San Francisco
We’re building the best bank account in the world. We believe there should be an alternative to the banking of the past: we help our customers better manage their finances through beautiful and intuitive digital tools. We want to replace the terrible user experiences that you are forced to use whenever you log into your bank, and get rid of unfair fees and poor customer service.
Monzo is the lead challenger bank in the UK. In the last few years, we’ve built a banking app with extremely high daily engagement and an NPS that’s consistently above 70. More than 5 million people (10% of UK adults) have a Monzo account. We’ve raised over $1 billion from YCombinator, Stripe, Coatue, Eric Schmidt, Mike Moritz and others – most recently at a $4.5bn valuation. Our competitive advantage is that we operate like a tech company in a space where software has not yet eaten the world – for example, we built our own core banking system from scratch!
We’re just getting started in the US. Your work will help us deliver on our technical and product strategy as we expand into our first international market. We’re a small team operating like an early stage startup but with the financial, operational, and engineering platform muscle of a larger company. We’re focused on launching an amazing US product, shipping and iterating quickly, and finding product market fit. We’re looking for highly driven, enterprising people to help us achieve our mission to make money work for everyone.
Internally, we encourage an open, collaborative, inclusive working environment. We contribute to open source software, and we continually engage with our wonderful community. We’re hiring talented, creative problem-solvers to help us build the bank of the future. Join us!
About the Role
We’re looking for a product-minded Android engineer to help us rebuild banking from the ground up. As one of our first US-based engineering hires, you’ll have a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the product, the launch, and the team we hire. Whether it’s by building new tools to help our customers understand and control their money or by creating beautiful, smooth onboarding experiences, you’ll drive massive impact across the entire business. The ideal candidate will have experience working as part of small teams or at early stage companies and be capable of working independently and efficiently in ambiguous environments.
This position will report to the US Head of Engineering.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build new features for the Android app to launch to US customers as part of a small and collaborative product squad
- Test, launch, and iterate on product features based on a data-driven approach that also incorporates user feedback and testing
- Contribute to hiring, product testing, and vendor selection
You should apply if:
- You’ve shipped and iterated on at least one app in the Play Store
- You have a product mindset: you care about customer outcomes and want to build a product that fundamentally changes how users manage their finances
- You love turning excellent design into beautiful products
- You’re excited to work on a fast-moving, lean team
- You have an understanding of computer science principles
About our Android app
At Monzo, you’ll get to work with industry standard tools and technologies – and help us define what great looks like for Android engineers.
Our app is almost 100% Kotlin, built using MVVM (Model View ViewModel) and Coordinators, and modularized by product features.
We use RxJava, Retrofit and Moshi for API calls and Dagger for dependency injection. Room is our choice for persistence, and Repositories for interacting with them. We’re starting to build out our design system, which we’re doing using Jetpack Compose.
We use GitHub Pull Requests to do code reviews, and write unit tests for our ViewModels, Coordinators, and any other classes which contain logic. We use Espresso for UI tests, which we run on Firebase Test Lab via CircleCI.
We’ve previously written about building Monzo Chat on Android, which goes into detail on some of these elements.
Location
We support full remote work from anywhere in the US. We also have an office in downtown SF, where we optionally meet twice a week for meetings, teamwork and socializing.
Benefits
- Great Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
- Competitive salary
- Stock Options
- Generous 401k with 4% employer match
- 32 days of vacation and public holidays per year (and we require that you take all of your days each year as we believe that well rested employees are more effective!)
- Maternity / Paternity leave
- We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.
Snippets of Monzo Culture
- Our mission of financial inclusion: We want everyone who wants one to have access to a Monzo bank account, along with information to help them make good financial decisions
- Default to transparency: How transparency is key in the ways we work and serve customers
- The Monzo Tone of Voice: How we use our voice to cultivate clarity, positivity, and approachability
- Gambling block: At Monzo, we focus on helping vulnerable customers
Interview Process
Our interview process consists of an initial phone interview, a take-home coding test followed by a task review call, and 2-3 hours of interviews conducted via hangouts. The on-site’ consists of two rounds:
- You’ll meet 2 other Android engineers. Together we’ll go over some technical challenges we’ve faced as a company. We’ll ask you to come up with designs to solve these problems.
- You’ll meet 2 Monzonauts to chat about some of the non-technical parts of being a product engineer at Monzo. These include your experience in delivery, team work, coaching/mentoring, and persuasion.
At each stage you’ll have an opportunity to ask us questions about what life is like at Monzo.
We promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions. We might design a solution together on a whiteboard, the same way we often work together, but we won’t make you write code on one.
Equal Opportunity Statement
At Monzo, embracing ersity in all of its forms and fostering an inclusive environment for all people to do the best work of their lives with us. This is integral to our mission of making money work for everyone.
We’re an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran, neuroersity status or disability status.

What we do
We are creating a web3 well-being service that allows users to own and control their data while still being able to put data into well-being services to enhance their well-being.
We pay particular focus on relationships well-being and social capital.
We are an HRtech company by nature.
Ultimately, the purpose of people’s working lives is to enhance the well-being of the inidual and the well-being of society. However, such services using the power of data do not exist in the world.
We believe that data and social well-being should be public goods, even though iniduals are the owners.
Public goods are always local (dependent on a community’s shared context and value system), not universal.
Moreover, public goods arise from a shared understanding of what is in the public interest (what makes life meaningful) in the context of contingent and culturally complex relationships among each other. Thus, it is necessary to design not only for universality but also for adaptability.
This requires both macro-level structure and micro-level ersity.
Furthermore, public goods must have positive externalities, and if we see ourselves as beneficiaries of the public goods of past societies, this includes the people of the future.
Thus, at the macro level, it is necessary to create a platform that utilizes web3 tech stacks to create a governance structure for DAOs and a structure that allows for the participation of a variety of stakeholders.
By doing so, our goal is to achieve the following:
- to a society where good relationships cultivate well-being.

《What we do》
We believe that data and social well-being should be public goods, even though iniduals are the owners.

Title: Senior Front End Engineer
We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team to support our growing needs that have gained great traction to over 10 million users and now adopted by leading fortune 500 companies and organizations, transforming the way visual content is created in the form of engaging Presentations and Infographics.
Insights from the top
To be a fit for this position you need to:
Love to Code. You have experience in back-end and front-end technologies. You love to take raw ideas and build great products with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You know JavaScript isn’t perfect, but you embrace its functionality and have a passion for coding with it. But you also have strengths in back-end technologies (PHP/MySQL) and great if know your way around Server Side (you’re comfortable with SSH and familiar with AWS infrastructure). But most of the time you just want to write simple code and ship new products and features to customers (or improve existing ones).
You love to be challenged. You respect processes but it’s also why you don’t like corporate structure. You want to be a part of a start-up that is nimble but stable, innovative but not too risky, you want to be able to contribute and not just follow the standards and copy what everyone else is doing.
You love great UX. After all we are Visme: A visual design tool, so clean and aesthetic design and user experience is imperative to Visme. Although you spend most of your time coding, you also have an eye for great design and a feel for great UX. Beautiful UI helps weave your code into an impeccable experience for the user. In short, you care about more than just the code but the entire product and process.
You want to help others. You want to share your knowledge with the rest of your team, building shared tooling for other engineers, and even directly helping customers when the need arises.
You love learning new things. If you don’t know it, you wanna learn it. Part of your R&R time is to research new tech and driving forward your knowledge, always moving to figure things out and improve your experience. Your focus is on frontend JavaScript code, but you also are comfortable with shell scripts, back-end technologies and want to strengthen yourself as Full-Stack.
You can balance lots of concerns. Visme is a SPA, as with any Frontend apps you have to take into account performance (using networks and devices that we can’t control), customer demands, UX research, A/B tests, code quality, our rapidly changing ecosystem of modules, etc.. You are able to effectively manage your time. You can balance those demands without getting overwhelmed and keep the needle moving forward. At the end of the day, we also ship products too.
Things you’ll be doing
- Coordinate with other members to continually refine and enhance user-requested features
- Contribute to our code foundation to scale system for our next growth phase
- Work as a team on creating new features our users need.
- Assist in product improvements and innovation of new functionalities
Your qualifications

- You must be fluent and have real-life experience with Javascript (primarily React.js and/or React Native).
- Understanding of Behaviour Driven Development or Test Driven Development, experience in developing Unit Tests
- Basic to an intermediate working knowledge of PHP/MySQL, experience with popular frameworks is a plus.
- Must be fairly comfortable with hand-coding HTML5 and CSS3
- Familiar with HTML5 canvas, transitions and SVG is a plus
- Experience with GitHub and NodeJS is required.
- Demonstrable understanding of web site development methodologies/frameworks

$50,000 — $120,000/yearTitle: Software Engineer – Full-Stack, Matcha
Location: Fully-Remote Available
COMPANY
At 0x Labs, our mission is to create a tokenized world where all value can flow freely. We’re a mission-driven and erse team composed of world class talent from Coinbase, Google, Meta, Bitso, Citi, Spotify and other top companies. We are a remote-first and fully distributed company, with team members located across all of the continents besides Antarctica. As early pioneers in the space, we’ve made significant technical contributions to various Ethereum standards over the years; fun fact – our team helped establish the NFT token standard (ERC721).
In joining us, you’ll take part in transforming the way that value is exchanged on a global scale. We’re passionate about open-source software and decentralized technology’s potential to act as an equalizing force in the world, and our technology is deployed by a wide array of projects at the forefront of internet and economic advancement.
Founded in 2017, 0x Labs created and now partakes in the development of 0x protocol: the open-source, global backbone for decentralized exchange. Alongside the core protocol, we also build and maintain products and service offerings including Matcha, the search engine for tokens, and 0x API, the endpoint for multi-chain aggregated liquidity. All of these offerings allow 0x Labs to continue marching towards our vision of building a tokenized world where all value can flow freely at the best prices and with the lowest transaction costs. This way, we can help businesses eliminate the complexity of accessing decentralized markets across all layers of the Web3 exchange stack and have more time to focus on what matters most: their product.
0x currently supports 8 major blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Chain, and Celo, and the 0x ecosystem has been rapidly expanding. With integrations across all of the top wallets and apps, including MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet and Coinbase NFT, Polygon Wallet, Brave, Matcha, dYdX, Zapper, Zerion, and Shapeshift, 0x is fast becoming the trusted standard for all decentralized exchange.
We’re a remote-first company with core contributors in nearly ten countries and over twice as many cities. Our headquarters is in San Francisco, with an office available for anyone on the team to use at any time. We’ll consider your application regardless of where you call home.
YOUR ROLE AS A FULL STACK ENGINEER
0x protocol is the exchange infrastructure for the internet. It is governed by the 0x DAO community which is, in large part, composed of ZRX token holders. Other stakeholders contribute and participate in the protocol public life: 0x integrators, Market Makers, blockchain analysts, analytics products, investors, and other 0x enthusiasts. The current product suite that these audiences most commonly use includes 0xTracker, ZRX Portal, and the institutional 0x.org website. In joining the Platform team, you’ll own the end-user experience for these interfaces, giving 0x stakeholders the power to govern and benefit from the 0x open protocol. 0xTracker started off as a community-driven effort and rapidly established itself as the most reliable source of truth for 0x network adoption and growth. Is it currently visited by thousands of users daily. We have aggressive goals to make it become the reference data tool for decentralized exchange data. It will become a cornerstone of 0x’s go-to-market as well as we believe that there’s no better way to craft narratives than with data. ZRX Portal the hub for ZRX token holders was launched in beta in early 2020. Here, community members can create and vote on protocol and Treasury proposals. In April, we launched a 0x Communal Treasury (worth several $M), fully governed by the ZRX holders community via the ZRX Portal. ZRX Portal currently attracts tens of thousands of 0x enthusiasts monthly. You’ll serve as the primary owner of one or more of these products, joining a nimble but fully-fledged team (Full-Stack engineer, Designer, and Product Manager). You will enjoy ample whitespace to spread your wings and innovate, while getting guidance and support to do so effectively. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with other Front-End engineers at 0x Labs (e.g., the team working on matcha.xyz), with whom you’ll help us push forward the frontiers of web3. TECH STACK We don’t care much about your experience with our stack (or any specific stack); we care far more that someone has solid fundamentals, is generally intelligent, has strong learning agility, and is an overall upstanding human. We understand it takes time to ramp, and we’re happy to invest with the right person if necessary. That said, we’re excited about the rapidly evolving tech we’re building on. It includes:- Next.js
- React (we use Hooks heavily!)
- TypeScript
- react-spring and react-use-gesture for high-performance animations and interactions
- styled-components
- AlchemyAPI and ethers 5.0 for interacting with Ethereum

- Keep abreast of the nascent and rapidly evolving blockchain space, and introduce innovative tools and products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, including engineering (internal and external), design, research, data science, product management, executive leadership, and recruiting
- Be a steward and influencer of our early engineering culture
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years+ as Senior Software Engineer
- Experience with modern JavaScript
- Experience with React
- Experience with CSS/HTML
- Passion for the benefits of decentralization and the 0x mission
- Exhibit our core values: do the right thing, consistently ship, and focus on long-term impact

About Us
Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, 100% remote, ~70 person team of thoughtful iniduals who value autonomy and impact. We’re eager to make a product our customers fall in love with over and over again.
We ❤️ startups & SMBs. Since 2013, we’ve been building a CRM that focuses on better communication, without the hassle of manual data entry or complex UI. Our goal: double the productivity of every sales rep.
Our backend tech stack currently consists of Python Flask web apps with our TaskTiger scheduler handling many of the backend asynchronous task processing chores. Our data stores include MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. The underlying infrastructure runs on AWS using a combination of managed services like RDS and ElasticCache and non-managed services running on EC2 instances. All of our compute runs through CI/CD pipelines that build Docker images, run automated tests and deploy to our Kubernetes clusters. Our backend primarily serves a well-documented public API that our front-end JavaScript app consumes. Our infrastructure is heavily automated using AWS tools, Terraform, and Ansible.
We love open sourcing our code and ideas on our GitHub and on The Making of Close, our behind-the-scenes Product & Engineering blog. Check out our projects like SocketShark, TaskTiger,LimitLion and ciso8601.

At Close, everyone has a voice. We encourage transparency and practice a mature approach to the work-place. In general, we don’t have strict policies, we have guidelines. Work/life harmony is an important part of our business - we believe you bring your best to work when you practice self-care (whatever that looks like for you).
We come from 16 countries located in 5 of the 7 continents -- looking at you Antarctica and Australia ;-) ….. We’re a collection of talented humans rich in erse backgrounds, lifestyles, and cultures. Every year we meet up somewhere around the world to spend time with one another. These gatherings are an opportunity to strengthen the social fiber of our global community.
Our team is growing in more ways than one - we’ve recently launched 17 babies (and counting!). Unanimously, our favorite and most impactful value is “Build a house you want to live in.” We strive to make decisions that are authentic for our people and help our customers become more successful.
Our application process was designed to promote equitable and unbiased hiring practices. We ask a small series of questions that are similar to what would be asked in the first interview. This helps us learn more about you right from the start so please be sure to answer each question thoughtfully. Each application will receive two screens by two different reviewers. Regardless of fit, you will hear back from us letting you know if we'll be moving forward.

About the Company:
Currently valued at $1B and backed by leading investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Coinbase Ventures, Worldcoin is a new, collectively owned global currency that will be distributed fairly to as many people as possible. Worldcoin will launch by giving a free share to everyone on Earth. We believe that this is an essential step to accelerate the transition towards a more inclusive global economy, providing new ways for everyone to share future prosperity. We hope you’ll join us on our ambitious journey.
About the Team
Scale is at Worldcoin’s core. The Protocol team is responsible for fulfilling this mission in a decentralized way by imagining, building, and maintaining trustless systems that can scale to billions of people. One of the ways we do this is through a privacy-preserving protocol that powers WorldID using state-of-the art cryptography. We are active in the Ethereum ecosystem, and work with the wider community to solve limitations around blockchain scalability. Our team builds Rust services deployed on Kubernetes clusters that generate and verify zero-knowledge proofs and interact with the Ethereum Blockchain and various Layer 2 solutions.
About the Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and roadmap of a significant component of our Protocol, which allows for privacy at-scale. This is the first step in our roadmap towards a privacy-preserving digital identity ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
- Work primarily in Rust, with some exposure to smart contracts in Solidity, TypeScript and Go.
- Work on the latest technologies and developments in blockchain and cryptography.
- Contribute to feature development and code reviews.
- Work closely with and learn from experts in domains like AI, cryptography, blockchain all the way to hardware manufacturing.
- Work on a nimble team of blockchain engineers to execute on product and company-wide roadmaps and help improve engineering and implement best practices. Take ownership over deployed services that power our scalability solutions.
About You
- An advocate for always delivering high-quality code.
- Deep expertise developing services in compiled languages, preferably Rust.
- Prior experience with Kubernetes, devops, blockchain development, Layer 2 scalability or zero-knowledge applications are nice-to-haves, but not required.
- A curiosity and passion for Web3, open-source code, privacy and digital identity.
- A bias towards action and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
- Self-driven - you’re not afraid to take risks and make big bets.
