We believe static typing improves engineering velocity (and decreases bugs), and make wide use of Mypy for static type enforcement on roughly 80% of our code base. Future projects will include investments in building a rich, type-safe Graph ORM Layer, increasing adoption and utilization of asyncio to balance IO batching and CPU utilization, as well as language tooling to define and and automatically enforce code patterns.

Recent projects include:

• Building a schemaless ORM layer on top of the Django ORM to allow engineers to make changes to native-looking Django models without requiring Postgresql schema changes
• Optimizations to uwsgi’s shared memory process lifetime heuristics
• Building dynamic query routing and model caching to transparently cache high volume model access and selectively route to read replicas without requiring engineers to specify the database replica

You’ll work with product engineers to understand their pain points and identify high leverage opportunities to improve developer experience and scalability of our systems. In addition to product engineers, you will collaborate closely with the Monolith CI/CD team, who drive 10-15 deployments per day of the application, working to identify ways to improve developer velocity across the entire workflow.

• Feature development: You will be owning backend features that support all our platforms (extension, mobile and desktop).
• Interfacing with users: You will be interfacing directly with end-users and developers building on Phantom – supporting them and collecting feedback to inform the direction of the product.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

As an Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, exploiting and mitigating security vulnerability risks in our software applications, as well as conducting security assessments and investigations. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities

• Perform regular security assessments and red teaming exercises to simulate real-world attacks.
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in code, systems and networks through manual testing, automated tools, and threat intelligence.
• Keep up to date with the latest offensive security techniques, application security threats, and best practices in the blockchain space, and recommend improvements to security posture
• Write detailed reports of your findings and present them to management and technical teams, and help to prevent real-world attacks.
• Work with development teams to implement secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with teams such as development, operations, and compliance to ensure that security is integrated throughout the organization.
• Participate in incident response and incident management activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in offensive security techniques, with a focus on blockchain technology.
• Strong understanding of security risks, vulnerabilities and concepts in web and mobile applications.
• Proficient in code review for JavaScript & Typescript with a strong understanding of application security threats and offensive security techniques.
• Write PoC’s to prove vulnerabilities, review and ensure that patch code meets the standards set by the repository owners and maintainers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + verbal and written communication skills.

We’re seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team in improving the stability and user experience of Coinshift V2. This is an opportunity to accelerate delivery, enhance product quality, and help us prepare for the next wave of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the core tech team to build and analyze testing frameworks and tools that ensure product quality.
• Develop automated testing strategies for the front-end, backend, and production systems to ensure system stability.
• Own and guide the tech team on testing best practices and integrate them into the core SDLC process.
• Commit code to the stage, test features, and ensure changes don’t impact existing systems.
• Smoke testing production daily and promptly addressing any crashes.
• Have startup experience and be able to set up systems for end-to-end testing.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience at fast-moving product-based companies, with a track record of building test automation frameworks and pipelines.
• Proficient in Selenium or similar backend API testing frameworks such as Postman, JMeter, or those that can be integrated into CI/CD.
• Knowledgeable about the web3 ecosystem, Ethereum blockchain, and its tool stack (e.g., Metamask).
• Ability to break down complex problems and find efficient solutions while understanding tradeoffs.
