Start a career in tech: Join the team that’s supporting the latest cutting-edge AI language models.
Website | Video Demo | Core Values
The Business Context
You already use AI in many ways like deciding what products and services to order and it may be most familiar to you as a chatbot, as an avatar-maker, or as a way to unlock your screen. But here’s what AI may be able to help the world with: finding medical diagnoses, teaching you about scientific research, and calculating the complexities of any function.
But, like humans, algorithms are what they eat. They’re only as good as the rules they know and the data they’re trained on. We’re the team that helps model these behaviors.
The Role
As an Advanced AI Data Trainer you will be working closely with a team of other trainers, within protocols developed by the world’s leading AI researchers training the AI to read, write, summarize knowledge, and interpret meaning. Think of it like being a language arts teacher or a personal tutor for some of the world’s most influential technology.
The goal of this AI is to be a safe, accurate, widely knowledgeable, and beneficial conversation partner to the world for a wide variety of purposes. Your job is to train, evaluate, and test the AI’s conversation skills, continuously equipping it to fulfill that purpose.
Day in and day out, you will:
Train the AI
You’ll spend the bulk of your time generating examples of ideal conversations, acting as both the User and the AI for the AI to learn from, collecting sources helping it read large swaths of humanity’s documented knowledge and distinguish between what is presented as fact vs. context vs. patterns of behavior.
Evaluate the AI
Our partner’s mission is to develop AI models that are safe, accurate, and beneficial to humanity. You will continuously evaluate the AI according to those criteria and our training methods. For example, you will be discerning the accuracy of the facts that the AI is outputting, but also the accuracy with which they interpret them.
Test the AI
How is testing different from evaluation? As the project grows over time, you’ll spend time actively trying to break the AI by forcing mistakes and improving the way these AI models recover. This is absolutely critical to its safety, accuracy, and use. You’ll document breaks and have the opportunity to recommend improvements to the training methods themselves to both our team and our client.
The Person
This is a technology job that accommodates humanities people and relies more fully on your competencies than your formal experience making it a rare opportunity that’s perfect for new grads, career transitioners, and those seeking an exciting encore career.
You’re the sort of person who is exceptional at generating copy intuitively. You’ve also got the metacognitive awareness to show your work. In addition, you’re the sort of person with a deep interest in linguistics. If you didn’t get a Ph.D., you probably wanted one. You instinctively document learnings and continuously refine methods.
You are a(n):
- Dedicated Grammarian
- Natural Writer
- Diligent Reader
- Observant Listener
- Self-Aware Interpreter
- Synthetic Sense-Maker
- Perpetual Learner
- Instinctive Educator
- Fluent in Spanish**
Compensation & Career

Data Quality Team Lead
at Argyle
Remote
$70k – $90k per year + Stock
Remote
Argyle is a fast-growing remote-first Series B startup that has reimagined how we access and use employment data.
At Argyle, we recognize that employment data is owned by the inidual it represents. By building the first gateway to employment data, we’re unlocking a dataset that has been monopolized by a single giant corporation (name omitted because of decorum) for 70 years. In turn, we’re making it easier, faster, better, wiser for innovative companies to put employment data to work for their users, enabling access to products and services that improve lives.
If you rent an apartment, buy a car, refinance a home, apply for a loan the first question you’ll often be asked, how do you make money?. You’d think information so foundational to our economy would be simple to manage, transfer and control but it isn’t.
Argyle is the easiest way for people to instantly share their income and employment data with any product or service. Users exercise complete control over how their data is accessed, and businesses receive real-time access to this data via the Argyle API.
Our team is a fun and passionate group of people, working remotely across 24 countries and counting. Learn more about our team on our about page.
About the team
Argyle’s Data Quality (DQ) team works alongside our Network Growth and Scanners (Engineering, Infra, R&D) teams. Together they form the Data build (vertical) whose mission is to achieve the maximum user conversion and the highest data quality of structured employment records available anywhere. Quality matters as much as quantity and this is where the DQ team comes in.
The team is at the very heart of our product and is responsible for data research, data knowledge management, data quality assurance and internal BI. The team’s mandate doesn’t end there with recent expansions into data engineering and automation fields. Argyle has high expectations for the team – we want DQ to become part of our common vocabulary and in turn help us shape our data strategy.
What will you do?
- Lead and scale Argyle’s DQ team, which currently has 3 Inidual Contributors (ICs)
- Initially this will be a hybrid Manager-IC role before the team reaches scale. At that point the job title will convert from DQ Team Lead to DQ Manager
- Take ownership of and drive our Data Quality KPIs working closely with Data Build’s leadership and teams
- Drive QA, automation, tooling and data engineering agenda and deliverables, incl. recruiting additional team members aligned with these domains
- Build working relationships and lead collaboration with our Analytics and Documentation teams.
- Contribute towards Argyle’s Data Quality strategy and help with laying out key underlying initiatives
What are we looking for?
- Independent self-starter – you do not wait or need to be told what to do. You are able to generate ideas, pitch them and do the necessary groundwork to get the ball rolling.
- Data focused mindset. Our data is our product – it runs through our veins. You understand the purpose and significance of data (quality) management and have experience in showcasing it to different stakeholders.
- Tech-first attitude. We are a software company – while we do not fear grunt work, we like efficiency. We know you’ve done it before – streamlining processes, ramping up automation and introducing smart digital tools.
- Jack (or Jill) of all trades, master of some – this team has one of the broadest domains in the whole of Argyle and its Lead needs to be comfortable with this. You are not perturbed by different shades of the same colour and are happy to adapt to the evolving needs.
- Team Lead (with a capital L). You are a people’s person, you had the pleasure of nurturing, shaping and growing teams in the past. And you liked it.
- Operating in the greyzone’. We are a startup and as a result we often find ourselves in places where nobody has (ever) ventured before. And that’s okay. You are comfortable with ambiguity and tackle it with clear head. You break down complexity, shift gears quickly and come up with tangible solutions.
Why Argyle?
- Remote first company
- International environment
- Flexible working hours
- Stock Options
- Flexible vacation leave
- $1,000 after a month of employment to set up your home office.
- MacBook
Argyle embraces ersity and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe the more inclusive we are, the better our company will be.

Senior Web Engineer EMEA
Remote
Engineering
Full time
Description
This job is fully remote and we’re accepting applicants from people who can work EMEA hours.
About You
As a Senior Web Engineer, you should have a comprehensive understanding of modern web development, with an emphasis on PHP and modern JavaScript in a WordPress context.A comprehensive understanding of the components and technologies related to WordPress is crucial to this role. While previous experience with WordPress (and Gutenberg) is not essential, it is highly recommended, and you will be expected to rapidly gain this in order to work effectively on project teams. This includes WordPress internals, including the bootstrap process, global state, and the majority of WordPress components. To enable you to architect complex WordPress projects, you should also have knowledge of the larger WordPress ecosystem, including commonly used third-party libraries
The responsibilities and expectations of a Senior Web Engineer are not necessarily tied to a specific project. While you will need to apply your skills on each project you are assigned to, you are also expected to set a similar example when interacting with the whole engineering team for meta-level tasks. This could be cross-project code review, helping other engineers debug problems, coaching, or offering advice and architectural guidance to other projects.
As a Senior Engineer, you should lead by example when working on projects, meeting with clients, giving critical feedback primarily via code review to peers and respecting other engineering decisions. Your broad experience in WordPress development may mean you have strong preferences for technical decisions. It’s both your responsibility to voice concerns about technical decisions being made, but also have the distance and maturity to accept decisions made by the team and/or project technical lead, and commit yourself to build solutions in the agreed-upon way. As Human Made develops large-scale WordPress sites, WordPress experience is desirable but not essential.
You should be familiar with the tools required for engineering projects. This includes a good understanding of Git, conflict resolution, local development environments, PHP configuration, following coding standards and general computer maintenance and security. You should be willing to adapt to the established processes in Human Made.
About Us
Human Made helps organizations drive customer engagement, reinforce brand value and improve operations with digital solutions powered by Altis, our WordPress digital experience platform.
Over the past 10+ years, we’ve helped brands such as Snopes, Siemens and USA Today build and deliver their digital strategies, transforming the way people interact with some of the most visited websites in the world. We have deep expertise and investment in using WordPress as a tool to create large-scale platforms, websites, and applications that drive transformational business value.
Our decade of experience in agile delivery and passion for open source solutions supports clients in their journey to embrace the edge of innovation. Human Made is a fully distributed company, with employees based remotely around the world.
Human Made* is a remote company: this means you will need to work both independently and as part of a remote team. You will have the opportunity to meet the rest of the company at our annual company meetup, and with members of the rest of your team at least once a year. We care about good communication and you should be able to prioritise your work and meet deadlines, discussing any problems with the team along the way. You can learn more about Human Made and what you can expect working here in our public company handbook.
Why Work at Human Made
Human Made is a people-centric organisation, where we value the expertise, background and unique personality every team member brings to the company. We provide several tools and benefits (from remote work allowance to private healthcare and retirement savings) to ensure everyone feels appreciated and fairly acknowledged for the work they do. We lead our teams with utmost empathy and flexibility, allowing everyone to manage themselves with autonomy and all the support we can provide for them to be successful, as we understand the challenges of remote work.
