Contracts and Legal Operations Manager / Paralegal
The AP seeks a legal operations professional to assist with contract management and legal operations in support of our erse global commercial content and services businesses.
This position reports to the Associate General Counsel and will be a critical member of a lean and high performing legal team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the legal department of an organization that leads the way in ensuring that the public has access to objective, accurate news and information.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage processing of commercial contracts at the AP, including managing queue of commercial requests to be assigned within the Legal Department based on lawyer availability and prioritization of business teams;
- Assist with developing and maintaining a matter management and tracking system to track key performance indicators within the legal department;
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department;
- Oversee AP’s contract lifecycle management system (Ironclad), including creating templates and workflows and managing updates to the CLM system and ensuring contracts are accurately tracked and stored within the system.
- Review and edit commercial and licensing agreements in accordance with the contractual practices and policies of the company and under the supervision of in-house attorneys.
- Prepare amendments and renewals for existing agreements per specifications from the business teams and oversight of in-house attorneys.
- Review non-disclosure agreements and manage approval process.
- Assist and potentially lead in legal department operations, including willingness to explore artificial intelligence tools and solutions for legal department.
- Conduct other projects as required, such as researching contractual issues as they arise; assisting in litigation document requests; or otherwise assisting department at the direction of the General Counsel and attorneys.
- Assist attorneys with business and corporate deals, take part in due diligence, identify and prepare document requirements, assist in contracts review and coordinate signings, and otherwise assist department at the direction of the General Counsel and attorneys.
Qualifications:
- At least four (4) years of progressively responsible paralegal experience at a law firm or with in-house counsel.
- Prior experience as contract manager and/or familiarity with CLM systems is a plus.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Established experience in one or more positions that demonstrate the candidate’s teamwork, professionalism, attention to detail and responsibility.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required. Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
Location: The successful candidate will be expected to work a hybrid schedule from our New York headquarters. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate if they are based outside of New York.

About the Role
You will be a critical member of Lyra’s growing legal team, within its privacy ision, supporting internal stakeholders in fulfilling Lyra’s mission to bring mental and emotional health solutions to large employers across the country. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will have this experience:
- Juris doctor degree, paralegal certificate, or accredited degree related to legal research. An undergraduate degree is acceptable if combined with 10 years of employment in the public safety sector.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal research, with at least 2 years in a state or local government agency or law firm that has experience in public safety, criminal, or civil rights litigation strongly preferred.

The WORK

As Discord’s Senior Corporate Paralegal, your core responsibilities will be to manage corporate governance functions, collaborate on equity compensation management, and support Ethics & Compliance policies and programs. You will also flex your skills to creatively solve challenges that arise as the company grows. You’ll work with some super inspiring people across various disciplines, including our Stock Admin, Accounting, Tax, Corporate Development, and Legal teams. Reporting to our Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, you’ll help handle a range of important corporate law matters — this is a special opportunity to have a significant impact on how the team and company expand and evolve. This hire must be based on the West Coast, however, there is no in-office requirement.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage corporate governance functions and assist with Board, Committee, and shareholder meetings, regulatory filings, and related documentation
- Draft and maintain Board, Committee, and shareholder records
- Collaborate with our Finance, Accounting, Tax, and People teams on management of the companys equity compensation programs, including preparation of employee communications and close engagement in the equity grant process
- Support the administration of our Code of Ethics, whistleblower hotline, and other policies and programs
- Mentor and train junior team members, and collaborate to design and deliver engaging employee trainings relating to Corporate and Compliance topics
- Providing corporate support for the creation and operation of corporate subsidiaries around the world
- Support strategic transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, closing mechanics, and post-closing integration and administration of acquired companies
- Providing project management support and working on other team, department, and cross-functional projects and priorities as needed
What you should have
- 6+ years of corporate paralegal experience, gained through either a law firm serving technology companies or in-house at a technology company
- IPO experience or experience working for a publicly-listed technology company
- Previous roles that emphasized project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines
- Experience with designing and implementing scalable, cross-functional processes for an evolving company
- Ability to operate with empathy, agility, and flexibility in a hybrid, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with team members, cross-functional, and external partners in various time zones
- Effective prioritization when it comes to project management, navigating time-sensitive projects while maintaining quality and attention to detail on other important workstreams
- Curiosity and ability to jump into less familiar areas and learn while doing in a fast-changing environment

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,000 to $184,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, inidual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Overview
The Director of Legal Operations manages the legal operations functions of the Legal and Compliance Department. We are looking for a Counsel, Privacy and Compliance to join our Legal department at BOLD. This person will be primarily supporting the Team on the management of all local Poland office legal affairs, including providing legal assistance on employment and HR-related matters, and managing Board operations matters.
