Clad is construction management software for building infrastructure.
We’re looking for Clad’s first AE.
Last year, we 7x’ed revenue and 3x’ed customers, just from founder led sales.
Contractors and internet providers are using Clad every day to build faster and with less manual overhead.
We’re on to something, and it’s time to ramp up growth.
The Product
We’re building Procore ($1.3B revenue / yr), for infrastructure - think telecom, utilities, roads, solar cells, etc.
We sell 3 products today, many of our customers use more than one:
1. Project Management - Track work, linked to the project’s financials
2. Vendor Management - Solicit bids, onboard and track subcontractors3. Inventory Management - Track materialsWe’re building a unified collection of products for the entire construction lifecycle.
About us
* ~5 years of runway, raised $2.7M from Y Combinator, Better Tomorrow Ventures, and others. Most of it is still in the bank.
* 4 people - 1 founder + 3 engineers * In-person team in NYCRequirements
* Experience: You’ve sold 5-6 figure SaaS before, and consistently hit quota
* Velocity: You are scrappy, hungry, and have an unbelievable amount of energy. No challenge is too big.* Curiosity: You love testing hypotheses to find new channels, tactics, or customers* Product Sense: You can spot what customers really need, and inform our product roadmap* Travel: You’re willing to get on a plane - we work in an industry that revolves around durable trust-based relationshipsThis is a quota-carrying role. $80-120k base salary, $80-120k commission.
Why Clad
We are in the early innings of a generational upgrade to our country’s infrastructure.
Against the backdrop of enormous demand from AI (data centers, power transmission), expanding renwable energy networks, and insatiable demand for internet bandwidth, our country’s builders are racing to keep up.
But there’s a problem - the tools to handle this demand are inadequate.
Most construction software wasn’t built for infrastructure projects, and industry-specific options are either too hard to use or too narrow to have a real impact.
We’re setting out to change this. Our goal - to build the tools to accelerate infrastructure deployment.

what is wordware?
wordware brings structure, joy, and trust to human/AI collaboration.
we make AI app development as simple as writing a document. If you can explain your application in words then you can build it with wordware.
our natural language editor is enhanced with powerful features from the world of programming; conditional statements, loops, functions, multi-agent communication. you can build and test AI flows instantly, see results in real-time, iterate fast, deploy in a single click. no code required!
with access to every public AI model and thousands of API integrations, you can design truly context-aware AI applications and agents. wordware takes the transformative power of AI, connects it with the tools you already use, and builds it seamlessly into your life and work.
p.s. pls don't use zero prompt ai in your answers, we get enough of these to know immediately 😂
head of growth @ wordware
_not necessarily a software engineer, but you've written code before and understand how things work under the hood. maybe you still dabble in frontend or have side projects. the point is: you need to deeply get our product and our users. implementing your simple ideas into main product and doing experiments in this way, would make your and my lives easier._**
You will also be selling 😲
being real: this is a hard role to fill. i (Filip) am currently heading growth and will be opportunistic about finding the right person.
you need to be able to say in two sentences something so impressive it will make me want to talk to you immediately. if that doesn't come to mind, don't apply.
the actual challenge: we have 350k users and are defining a new category (natural language ai development). we need someone who can turn \"building AI with plain english\" into a movement. someone who's already done something similar and knows exactly how to take \"interesting tool\" to \"holy shit, this is the future.\"
the bigger picture: we're not just talking to traditional developers. we're reaching the next 500 million people who will be \"coding\" with plain english - lawyers, designers, product managers, founders, and domain experts of all kinds. this means threading an impossible needle: deep enough for engineers, accessible enough for everyone else, and compelling enough to show both groups why this matters.
success of your role
*
based on revenue + MAUs! If you dont like KPIs also dont apply\
*
turning tinkerers into advocates\
*
making prosumers see deployment potential\
*
getting enterprise to trust a new paradigm\
*
managing full-funnel growth (yes, including sales pipeline for now)\
*
building multiple scalable acquisition channels\
you probably:
*
have grown a tool/platform from <100k to millions of users\
*
built and scaled multiple viral loops that actually worked\
*
know how to make technical content spread like wildfire\
*
managed sales pipelines (maybe)\
*
can spot growth opportunities others miss\
*
understand both technical and business metrics\
*
have done this before at a similar stage ($1-20m ARR)\
*
(!!) are technical enough to understand and explain our product\
*
(!!) can handle data analysis and growth engineering\
technical requirements (need some, not all):
*
ability to analyze usage patterns in posthog\
*
experience with lead scoring and PQL/MQL processes\
*
familiarity with data enrichment tools\
*
can handle programmatic SEO\
*
comfortable with marketing automation\
*
enough SQL/analytics to make data-driven decisions\
*
willing to learn what you don't know or manage freelancers who do\
real talk:
*
you'll work directly with me (Filip, CEO)\
*
sf only - no remote\
*
we don't need growth tips, we need someone who's done it and keen to do it again\
*
vc funding ($30m biggest out of YC seed) means nothing if we can't make this the default way to build with ai\
*
you enjoy weird company culture, we host crossbow competitions on sunday (really), our new office is 30m from the sea and has a sauna\
ps: we're backed by spark capital, felicis, and y combinator ($30m seed — biggest out of YC round) but we still work like a seed startup. and yes, the office will have a sauna and be 30m from the sea 🥵

head of content @ wordware
tl;dr we need someone who can turn complex ai concepts into compelling narratives. think johnny harris meets apple keynotes, but for developer tools. you'll be crafting the story of how ai development is becoming accessible to everyone, and making it look damn good while you're at it.
the actual challenge: we're democratizing ai development, but explaining this stuff is hard. really hard. we need someone who can make \"multi-agent communication with type system enforcement\" sound not just understandable, but exciting. someone who can show, not just tell, how wordware is changing the game.
the bigger picture: we're not just talking to traditional developers. we're reaching the next 500 million people who will be \"coding\" with plain english - lawyers, designers, product managers, founders, and domain experts of all kinds. our content needs to thread an impossible needle: deep enough for engineers, accessible enough for everyone else, and compelling enough to show both groups why this matters.
what you'll actually be doing:
*
owning end-to-end educational video production:\
*
creating our core content series:\
*
building our flagship podcast:\
*
leading creative direction:\
you should probably have:
*
serious video production/editing chops (this is crucial)\
*
deep expertise in after effects & premiere\
*
strong motion graphics capabilities\
*
knack for making technical concepts visual\
*
comfort behind the camera and mic\
your background might include:
*
\_ **running your own YT channel** \_\
*
video production at dev tools/tech companies\
*
documentary or educational video production\
*
experience at places like vox/verge/wired\
*
motion design for technical products\
*
technical education content\
*
podcast production\
real talk:
*
we're in sf, you need to be too - no remote for now\
*
you'll have big budget for equipment you need\
*
expect to both shoot and edit (especially early on)\
*
long hours in production and post\
*
you'll be building the creative team from scratch\
*
deadlines are tight - sometimes you'll need to turn around videos in hours\
*
you need to be technical enough to understand our product (we're not kidding)\
*
building a media brand takes time, but we're in it for the long haul\
*
pizza, beer, and crossbow competitions are part of the deal\
*
your stories will shape how the next generation thinks about building with ai\
if you've ever:
*
dreamed of making technical videos that don't put people to sleep\
*
found yourself explaining complex concepts through motion\
*
wished technical tutorials looked more like netflix docs\
*
wanted to define the visual language for a new category\
...we should talk.
