About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Chainlink Functions product. This manager needs to have excellent technical intuition, decisions making abilities, and product collaboration skills to enable rapid and developer centric improvements to the Chainlink Functions product.

You are the technical leader on all Chainlink Functions decisions and are supported by a strong team of engineers who have built Chainlink Functions from zero to our initial Beta launch. This candidate will be responsible for scaling the Chainlink Functions product to tens of thousands of Web3 developers and will be instrumental in delivery of an important and powerful product.

Your Impact

• Lead a team of experienced engineers in building the general compute platform for blockchains
• Collaborate with product to define and plan feature roadmaps and execution
• Define product direction to take Chainlink Functions from Beta to an open product
• Maintain high standards on the team and guide engineers on their professional growth
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding process to ensure we’re bringing on high-quality engineers who fit our culture and requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Experience managing the engineering and delivery of a product end to end. Customer empathy and a strong ability to balance product direction with engineering best practices
• Experience or knowledge of blockchain technology, Web3 protocols, and the challenges related to developing large, distributed systems
• An excellent communicator that is able to collaborate closely with internal and external partners on a broad range of technical and business topics
• Servant leadership and a natural ability to inspire and motivate others
• Ability to work on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership
• Experience coordinating technical stakeholders and making product decisions

Preferred Requirements

• Technical and/or product management experience on a blockchain project

We also run a Node.js webserver to support collaborative editing and real-time updates. Our application is hosted on Amazon Web Services and architected with ECS for reproducibility and scalability.

We utilize a growing amount of React on the front end to build rich client-side experiences, including our fully collaborative text editor and our slide presentation editor. We balance the strengths of both technologies — Rails for its conventions and simplicity and React for more powerful interactive functionality.

We embrace new technologies that help us deliver a lovable product, but we also remain cognizant of the maintenance overhead that a new library or platform brings. We solve the problems in front of us rather than prematurely optimizing to address issues that may never materialize.

As a frontend engineer at Phantom you’ll be doing everything from creating delightful user experiences, contributing to cross-platform client infrastructure, and crafting web3 developer SDKs. Role Description

As a Security focused Frontend Engineer at Phantom, you will be at the forefront of creating innovative solutions for our users. Your primary role will be developing, implementing, and maintaining the Phantom Authentication & Seedless Recovery systems.

• Collaborating with the design and product teams to design and develop secure, resilient, and user-friendly features.

The position

You’ll be joining 100 engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA. We’re organised into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific verticals.

This role is open for several teams, and we will define the exact team that you will be joining during the interview process based on the business needs and your preferences.

Regardless of the specific team, you will be working on building tools, APIs and integrations for one of our products.

Our backend is built with Elixir and Phoenix, with a Postgres database. We use React and Nextjs for our front-end. Gitlab is used as a version control tool, issue tracker and a CI/CD solution. Our applications are hosted on AWS. We fully rely on our CI for deployments and deploy multiple times per day.

The Opportunity

The Lead QA Engineer will be responsible for defining and executing a holistic test strategy that includes writing, manually testing, and automating detailed test cases for sprint features to ensure timely delivery of the features.
