The Position:

We’re looking to hire a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our team. You’ll work with our incredible clients in one of two ways:

• Team Augmentation: You will integrate yourself directly into our client’s team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.
• Design & Build: You will work on a FullStack product team to build and deliver a product to our clients.

About the team

The Crossref team is distributed across the world. The Software Development team is based in Europe and the US. We work alongside the Product, Infrastructure and Labs teams.

All new code, and most issue tracking, is open source. We strongly believe in open scholarly infrastructure and openness at all stages of the software development lifecycle. We perform code reviews and practice continuous deployment for all new code.

As a membership organization we keep closely in touch with our users, and encourage our developers to be familiar with our community.

We work fully remotely, but try to meet in person at least once a year. This is a full-time position, but working hours are flexible. Maintain and Extend Services: Maintain and improve a set of microservices written in Python and NodeJS to ensure high reliability, scalability, and performance.

Data Management & Model Development: Develop, create, and curate large datasets that will be used to train supervised machine learning models. Work on cleaning, processing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. Train, evaluate, and fine-tune deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch.

Data Analytics: Analyze various aspects of the business to produce actionable insights and reporting that lead to increases in revenue, improved customer retention, or reduced operational costs.

Compensation – At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. About the Role

The Underwriting Team at Coalition is responsible for building and maintaining systems that combine cutting-edge security data, insurance contract information, and additional proprietary data sources into a determination of cyber risk. We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack JS/TS Developer to complement our product engineering team. Responsibilities include contributing to several user-facing apps (wallet, block explorer, desktop app), integrating with other blockchain networks and decentralized protocols, maintaining a developer SDK, and building decentralized apps that demonstrate the potential of the Subspace Network.

In this role, you will…

• • Build user flows across both web and backend (React and Node).
  • Integrate directly with other blockchain networks using native RPCs.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to define, prioritize, and build features for Web3 users.
  • Drive detailed project definition and cross-functional alignment.
  • Design and architect backend REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

• • 3+ years of experience building open-source code that is clean, maintainable, and well-tested, for production networks at scale

Title: Web Frontend Engineer – JS, CSS, React, Flutter

Location: Home based – Worldwide

This is a general track for applications to any team at Canonical that works with web-centric tech (JS, TypeScript, React, CSS, Flutter), across all seniority levels.

Many of Canonical’s enterprise products have web front-ends. In order to create consistency across our products and sites, we have a central team that builds an open source React toolkit and presentation layer, the Vanilla Framework. We are excited to develop this further and see if we can help more open source projects build performant and accessible interfaces that respond well to erse layouts. We use REST APIs for communication, and we consider API design an important part of the process.

We care about accessibility in our products and take time to work with designers.

Flutter is a new front-end technology that has the potential to unify our desktop and web development. We are growing the team’s exposure to Flutter and have roles on both web and Ubuntu engineering for this specialism.
