Float is the world’s leading software for teams to plan their time and, behind it, is a world-class team looking for an experienced senior application engineer to join us. From the USA to the UK, Canada to South Africa—our Engineering, Product, Marketing, Insights, and Customer Success teams work asynchronously, helping brands such as Airbnb, Buzzfeed, and Ogilvy plan and manage their time better. Float is self-funded, profitable, and growing. If you’re aligned with our values, and are looking to join a team that’s passionate about helping others work and live more productively, we want to hear from you. Here are a few tips from our CEO to make sure your resume stands out from the crowd.
**
Why We’re Hiring For This Role**We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join the Float team to help expand and maintain our back-end services as our Engineering team and customer base continues to grow.
To meet the increasing demands of our customer base and larger customers, we are considering the next evolution of our back-end systems: you’ll be on the front line in these discussions, evaluating any necessary trade-offs and figuring out how our current systems can adapt to the new architecture we adopt.
Float’s Services Team Lead, Christian, explains the important role you will play within our Engineering team. Watch this video. You’ll work asynchronously with a bright, dedicated team across the globe, with a strong focus on taking complex problems and creating solutions that feel simple and intuitive for our customers.
**
What You’ll Be Responsible For**
You'll join a small squad of engineers taking ownership of both our core components as well as value-added services - those that provide the stickiness that allow customers to use Float to the fullest extent and meld well with other existing processes and systems.
As a Senior Engineer within our Applications Division, you’ll develop and maintain features that help power over 80,000 customers using Float. Your work will ensure the reliability of these services, implementing new features to take them to the next level as well; you will also be involved in the discussions and practicalities of scaling our back-end systems to support an ever-growing customer base.
You’ll be designing and implementing services to support the development of new features across our web, mobile, and desktop app products -- for example, surfacing aggregate data in a performant way or initiating scheduled jobs.
Our modern SaaS platform integrates with several third-party business tools, and you will be responsible for maintaining and building out these integrations with the help of REST and GraphQL APIs from Google, Microsoft, Jira, Linear, and more.
In the immediate future, you’ll become familiar with the systems and services in this area by helping to investigate and resolve incoming customer issues. The aim is to have both a satisfied customer and ensure no future customer feels the same pain. You’ll likely dig deep into the code while cleaning up data issues in order to wow our customers and put a smile on their faces.
Longer term, you’ll be a key part of our future architecture changes over the coming quarters as we shift to a more scalable framework to allow us to continue to grow and to support our customers as they continue to grow themselves. There will be opportunity to modify and re-write many of our existing services to make them both more performant and also more modular so that they are all able to communicate effectively with each other while still evolving independently.
**
What You’ll Need To Be Successful**
You’ll come to Float with a strong command of Node.js and a proven track record of successfully developing, maintaining, and implementing production services using JavaScript or TypeScript.
You’ll certainly be familiar with messaging architectures and likely have used RabbitMQ & Redis or similar to support scalable, reliable message delivery. We would expect the successful candidate to display most, if not all, of the following:
- Node.js proficiency in a production environment
- A strong command of MySQL and MongoDB
- Experience with microservices-based architecture
- Experience with serverless architecture (Cloud Run and App Engine in particular)
- Experience developing integrations with third-party APIs
- Proven experience shipping production-ready services for business or consumer-facing applications
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Expertise in other database technologies or search and analytics engines such as Lucene or similar
- Experience developing data processing pipelines (Flink, BigQuery, Cloud PubSub, PubSub Lite)
- Experience with event streaming systems (Kafka and similar)
You should be comfortable working independently and autonomously, while recognizing the limits of your skills and knowledge. An above-average ability to communicate clearly and with clarity particularly in written communication is vital to success in this role -- since our Engineering team and beyond are spread across the world and we rely on proactive and accurate written documentation to maintain our lines of communication.
Being product-focused and also customer-focused, you care about the end-user experience and aren’t afraid to speak up to fellow engineers as well as designers and product managers about areas we could do better. You balance that with pragmatism, understanding that sometimes it is better to have a great solution now than a perfect solution at some unknown time in the future.
If you have experience with the likes of Kafka or similar stream processing solution, we’d love to hear from you in particular. Our data and services feel very amenable to this kind of approach and it is one we are in the process of evaluating for future adoption.
As a fully remote team, we’re looking for someone who can excel with asynchronous communication as the default, which means you have previous remote experience and are comfortable using tools like Slack, Loom, and Linear to communicate as needed. Don’t worry—you will have significant deep work time since we have very few meetings.
**
Why Join Us**
We’re a global company with a erse team of folks from all over the world who share a common belief in living our best work life. That includes a flexible asynchronous policy that allows you to work whenever you work best, minimal meetings, annual team meetups, and perks and benefits that support your personal health and well-being. You can learn more about our full perks & benefits in our Float Handbook.
We understand that you probably want to learn a bit more about us as well, so here are some resources to get a sense of who we are and how we work:
Pay for this role is US $147,816 (Level 3). Here’s a blog post with more information on how we determine our salaries.

**

This role is for people who are interested in the product and engineering sides of the equation.
You will have the opportunity to work autonomously with minimal supervision, leveraging your exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. You will also be able to coordinate across sales, product, and support teams to ensure that you deliver the right solution for the right problem and that all parties are aligned.
The role is remote first. Our headquarters is in Los Angeles, California.
About You

- Ideal stack experience includes at least Ruby on Rails, React (specifically Next.js), and Postgres.

- Interest in designing systems from the ground up using first principles; we are solving problems by introducing technology into an area where there’s currently very little today.

- Believer in automated testing, continuous integration, high code quality. RSpec and vitest are in use today.
- Experience working across multiple domains to deliver a high-quality product. We often need to work past what the user says they want to find what they really need.

Do you have a passion for sport? Do you want to grow your career in software development but would also love to work in the business of sport? Do you want to work on a ground-breaking product? Are you looking for a company that will invest time in your development, support your professional growth and listen to your ideas?
You may have found your dream job, and we may have found our dream hire!
Help the world to play more sport
Sports facilities are lying idle during the day all over the world. One reason for this is that people can’t find and book their local sports facilities online.
At SportsKey, we aim to fix this problem by providing easy to use sports facility management and online booking software-as-a-service that makes it simple for venues to manage and promote their sports facilities, resulting in a dramatic reduction in admin and increased revenue for the venue, and ultimately more people playing sport.
Our long-term vision is to help the world play more sport. In the short-term, we are on a mission to help 20 million people play sport by 2024, and so far we’re 40% there!
To achieve this, we need to maintain our high customer satisfaction and simultaneously drive our core SaaS product forward. That’s where you come in.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer with the passion to develop an easy-to-use product that solves real problems for real people. This is primarily an inidual contributor role, but there’s a path to grow into a leadership role if you aspire to that.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Planning and building improvements, new features and whole new product initiatives for our core Rails application
· Actively contributing to product planning from conception, including discovery, UX and architecture decisions
· Upholding our high technical standards and processes regarding code quality, testing, performance and security
· Performing code reviews and mentoring less experienced developers
· Supporting the more junior developers on the team
We’re a small, growing company with a dedicated and passionate team and a growing base of loyal customers, and you’ll play a big part in our continued success in this role.
Our stack includes Ruby on Rails 7 with Hotwire, PostgreSQL, Bootstrap, Heroku, Cloudflare, AWS S3, Stripe, Github, AppSignal & Mailgun. We collaborate using Trello, Slack, and Github. We have excellent test coverage and confidently deploy to staging and production multiple times a day.
We have several new product initiatives lined up, as well as a big bag of improvements and UI/UX enhancements. It will not get boring here anytime soon.
Your title will be Product Engineer, Senior Product Engineer or Lead Product Engineer, depending on experience.
What we are looking for
We need you to hit the ground running on our tech stack so you can focus on learning about our product and customers instead of catching up on the basics:
· Ruby on Rails (significant experience on commercial products)
· JavaScript (significant production experience, ideally some Stimulus/Hotwire experience)
· PostgreSQL or similar (way beyond ActiveRecord – you know how to keep a growing database performant and available)
On top of these purely technical skills, we’re looking for a true self-starter capable of working autonomously and executing small and large projects from start to finish, by yourself or with a small team, in close collaboration with stakeholders from the leadership, sales and customer success teams. Basically managers of one, to steal a term from 37signals.
The more of these boxes you tick, the better:
· You’ve worked as a professional software developer for at least 5 years, ideally with big responsibilities in small companies rather than vice versa
· You have experience driving the architecture and design of new and existing products.
· You are a passionate software developer and care about your craft. You are excited to learn, lead projects and want to produce your best work possible.
· You don’t shy away from responsibility for delivering outcomes.
· The discovery and UX planning of new features and products are a core part of your skillset and you see it as critical to your success in delivering outcomes
· You understand business priorities and how to balance them with technical considerations
· You have mentored or coached junior engineers before.
Remote (Ireland)
This is a full-time, permanent position. Most of us are based in Ireland, but this is a fully remote role. We communicate mostly online but try to get together regularly enough for socialising and occasional in-person collaboration. We are accepting applications from anywhere in Europe.
Our interview process
· We’ll invite you to take a quick online Ruby quiz to avoid wasting each other’s time
· We follow that with a 30 minute call with Thilo, our CTO, to talk about your career path and answer your questions
· Next is a 90 minute online technical interview, to get a sense on your technical experience
· Finally, we’ll have a 30 minute call with Craig, our founder and CEO, to validate culture fit and align expectations.
How to apply
· Email us at [email protected] with a detailed cover letter where you explain why you are interested in this role and what makes you a great fit.
· As a remote team, clear and efficient communication is critical. That requires fluent English and above-average writing. We'll be looking at this closely throughout the interview process, starting with your cover letter. Please take your time.
· We would also ask you to take this quick Ruby skill test - it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes: https://ide.codingame.com/invite/7954927a27b5ea6dcc

What are we looking for?
You’re experienced in both Ruby and Rails, and also understand where the boundaries lie between them. You can code in Ruby without any of Rails’ training wheels if necessary.
You have some experience using Javascript framework(s), understand the value of them, but also know when plain Javascript is enough.
You're interested in getting to know our customers to find the best solution for a given challenge.
You’re up for mentoring coworkers and can give in-depth, productive feedback during code reviews. While you appreciate the small stuff, you recognise bike-shedding and can avoid its pitfalls.
You code with reason and can justify the important decisions you made during development.
You can communicate clearly in English, both in writing and verbally.
You know and can apply best practices when relevant. That means the usual like version control, testing, and refactoring; but also higher level concepts such as good object oriented design.
You're aware of the trade-offs involved in proper engineering and can make balanced business decisions, keeping in mind all the stakeholders of the project.
You’ve got opinions on code design and you can discuss them, but you’re professional enough to not let those opinions get in the way of a consensus if necessary.
If you’re any good at Ruby, this is probably not the first job ad you’ve seen, so we’ve done our best to stand out while also accurately presenting what we’re all about. If it sounds like you would enjoy working with us, don’t hesitate to apply or drop us a line with questions on [email protected].
Ahum. Here it comes.
What’s a Silverfin?
At Silverfin we’re trying to apply the promise of software to the age-old industry of accounting. With our SaaS we’re automating a large chunk of the busy-work that accountants are currently handling manually, and are building new tools so they can provide better services to their customers. We aim to optimise their workflow in such a way that accountants can spend more time on the much more impactful and rewarding work of advising their customers, the business owners.
The good news is we’re succeeding in doing exactly that. Every week more than 15.000 financial service professionals use Silverfin to help and advise more than 400.000 businesses. Our customers adore us! The even better news is there’s still plenty left to work on, and that’s where we hope you come in.
What’s the product team like?
The product team is a cross-functional team where engineers work together closely with product managers and product designers. The team's input is a user or business problem which it can solve with a high degree of autonomy. From day one all profiles are involved in understanding the problem, ideating solutions and doing quick experiments to prove that a certain solution might actually lead to the desired outcome. After the discovery phase the same team is tasked with the delivery of the chosen solution. The team will then track the adoption of the solution and will make sure that the problem is actually solved. The setup of the team is largely based on the book "Inspired" by Marty Cagan.
What does working at Silverfin look like?
The product team will work together with the other Silverfin engineering teams. While the product team is set up as a stream-aligned team, most other teams are set up as platform teams around modules and topics of the Silverfin application. They are helping the stream-aligned team to develop solutions fast and without a lot of mental overhead. The platform teams' focus is the stability and long term architecture of the product as well as building frameworks and libraries that can be used by the stream aligned team. If those terms are not familiar to you, check out the "Team Topologies" book by Manuel Pais and Matthew Skelton which inspired this structure.
Our ops team ensures things run smoothly, deploys happen correctly, and will work with you when issues should arise. We’re enthusiastic followers of the devops mindset, which means ops and developers work together to solve problems, and empower each-other to be self-sufficient, instead of throwing problems over the wall to the “other side”.
We run an up-to-date Rails monolith on the backend, with PostgreSQL and Redis for persistence and caching, and everything is running on a Kubernetes cluster in Google Cloud. Our daily tools include GitLab, Quip and Slack, with Zoom as our remote conferencing tool of choice.
No code gets deployed without a code-review by a peer and testing is a must. Our pipeline automates deployment when the suite is green, and deploys happen dozens of times a day. Each team is currently doing Kanban, but they’re free to follow whatever process suits them best. There are regular retros held to work towards continuous improvement.
Software for accountants is not considered to be very exciting, but we have our fair share of technical challenges. To give you a sense of scale: our database exceeds 10TB*, and our largest table has crossed the 10 billion row mark a long while back. We interface with more than 30 different external APIs, and provide third parties an API of our own.
*: Our ops team noted that this actually isn’t that hard to achieve if you’re just indexing everything, but it still sounds impressive, right?
What makes the engineering team at Silverfin special?
We’re a remote-first engineering team of 35 people distributed in 14 different countries over two continents. A priority for us is maintaining proper work-life balance. We avoid meetings as much as possible, accept deadlines only when absolutely necessary, and never expect anyone to work longer hours than they’ve signed up for. A day in our working lives is pretty boring, and we feel that’s exactly how it should be.
Working with us means you can be flexible with your schedule. It’s OK to disappear for a few hours in the middle of the day to run some errands, get a haircut, pick up the kids - whatever reason, you don’t need to explain yourself. You also fully decide when you take time off: our team is sufficiently varied and well organised that there are always enough people around to handle the load, and in the rare cases it’s not, we will decrease the load instead of asking people to move their holiday.
Being remote-first means we favour asynchronous communication. We don’t shy away from chatting in Slack, but the important decisions or discussions are done in Gitlab issues, over email, or in Quip, so there’s a written, persisted record. We’re mindful of maintaining long chunks of focussed time, which means we avoid @-mentions or PMs on Slack, and other triggers and interrupts. We encourage using Slack’s DnD function, especially when you’re not working!
We’d be really happy to welcome you in our #engineering channel, but it’s not just virtual: we make sure we regularly get to see each other in real life too. Twice a year we fly the whole engineering team together to a different location in Europe, and at least once a year we join up with the rest of the company so we can spend some time together with the other departments.
What does your future look like?
Personal growth is key to staying motivated. At Silverfin you don’t need to move to management in order to advance. We see the inidual contributor track and the management track as two different growth paths which every engineer can follow and switch between. You can be promoted, including pay raises, as a contributor just like as a manager.
Everyone has a €1000 yearly budget to spend on conferences, courses, workshops or other training to improve their skills and level up. This also includes accommodation, travel costs. If the conference is on a workday you’ll get paid like any normal day.
Requirements
You have at least 4 years of experience working with Ruby, or 2 years of experience with Ruby and 4 years in one or more other programming languages
You get Rails
Your work hours have some overlap with EU business hours (we require your local timezone to be within CET +/- 3h)
You can communicate clearly in English, both written and verbally
Nice to haves
These would be nice but are definitely not necessary. Don’t worry if none of the following applies to you.
Experience as a remote worker in a fully remote team
Experience working with large datasets and the problems they bring
You have some experience using Javascript framework(s), understand the value of them, but also know when plain Javascript is enough
Experience in Fintech
Accounting knowledge

You can apply today and we’ll start having interviews from 10/07. There’s no benefit to applying early, so you can take your time answering the application questions.

If you’re aligned with our values, and are looking to join a fully remote team that’s passionate about helping others work and live more productively, we want to hear from you. Here are a few tips from our CEO to make sure your resume stands out from the crowd.
**
Why We’re Hiring For This Role**Our front-end team is responsible for our customer facing application which is the primary method by which our customers get their value from Float. We support a web application, an iOS app, an Android app, and a desktop app (Electron), all of which share a considerable amount of code, and they are only getting bigger.
As our product continues to grow our customer base continues to grow with it. We are seeking a skilled engineer to help move things forward and also to provide the all important coverage and maintenance to ensure that we can continue to deliver the high quality experience that our customers have come to expect.
That’s where you come in.
You’ll join a smart, capable group of engineers specifically focused on the web application, ensuring that the primary vehicle to deliver value remains exactly that. You’ll be helping to push forward the state of the art in web-based resource management, allowing customers to make the most of their time and providing value far beyond our cost.
We have some ambitious goals as a company and in order to fulfill them we have some equally ambitious goals for our web application. We’re keen to be able to support our customers as they become more successful and grow, and this ever-increasing growth is starting to challenge some of our older systems. We’re eager to re-imagine our front-end so that we are able to support customers that are multiples the size of our current largest customer.
In this role, you’ll be an integral member of the team, contributing regular impactful changes and improvements to an application used for significant intervals of time each day by over 4,000 customers.
You’ll be working asynchronously with a bright, dedicated team from across the globe, with a strong focus on taking complex problems and creating solutions that feel simple and intuitive for our customers.
**
What You’ll Be Responsible For**You’ll join our web application team and after an onboarding and familiarization process you’ll likely find yourself leading a product-focused project in an upcoming cycle – bringing to life our project reports with improved charts and visualizations, or adding delight to every interaction of our onboarding experience. You’ll be responsible for discussing the specification with the Product and Design stakeholders, understanding the problem to be solved and satisfying yourself that we are able to produce a deliverable satisfying any constraints - performance being a key one.
Over time, you’ll specialize in some particular area of our application based on the overall front-end architecture, being responsible for resolving any regressions or bugs within that area as well as being the point of contact for any customer-sourced queries or similar.
As you become more comfortable with the product as a whole, it would be expected that you become more involved in the wider-ranging discussions on the future direction of our front-end architecture, and in particular how we can ensure that our web application can evolve to support our ambitious scaling goals, whether that be by wholesale rewrites of certain areas or strategic incremental changes or even simply more process & guidelines around how to develop within this performance-critical area.
You will quickly become a core member of the team, responsible for customer visible aspects of our product, working with our User Experience team to understand how our customers work with our product and how they want to use it, so that we can help them to make the most of it.
**
What You’ll Need To Be Successful**We’re looking for a strong, seasoned engineer who has the demonstrated expertise and interest in working on a sophisticated web application and solving data and presentation problems in a performant manner for our world-wide user-base. You’ll understand the commitment that requires but also the fascinating challenges it can present.
You’d be described by your colleagues as a React expert and are completely comfortable working in an application written with React combined with Redux and Reselect for the state management aspects. With respect to styling, we favor a CSS-in-JS approach that does not rely heavily on utility classes – no Tailwind here!
We’re currently in the process of migrating our front-end codebase to TypeScript, so familiarity with that is crucial. In addition, you should be familiar with Vitest for all things testing and Yarn workspaces to help manage private packages within a monorepo.
Experience with the following would be a big plus:
- Local-first software - not just PWAs but fully-fledged offline capable web apps using CRDTs, IndexedDB etc.
- React-native or other native mobile app development platforms
- Working with distributed systems, event-based architectures at scale
Finally, you should be very comfortable working asynchronously, since the nature of our Engineering team is that we are distributed around the world. We rely on clear, concise written communication to ensure we all have clarity and to ensure any problems are raised in good time so we have the necessary time to react. You will have the freedom to set your own schedule and the autonomy to do so - provided you continue to deliver and communicate, we’re very hands-off on how you structure your days and you will have significant deep work time since we have very few meetings.
**
Why Join Us**We’re a global company with a erse team of folks from all over the world who share a common belief in living our best work life.

I’m building a startup in the B2B SaaS CRM and Sales Automation space and am looking for a technical co-founder. Here’s who I am, where I’m at, and what I’m looking for.
**
The Team**I have over 10 years experience in B2B SaaS in various roles in product and revenue, with 10+ years in the specific domain I am building in. Recently, I’ve been a key contributor and first non-founder hire at an early-stage startup, leading product and revenue and helping take the company to a ~$20 million exit.
I strive to be a decent and kind human who is passionate about delivering quality work, but doesn’t let it define my identity or compromise my character.
**
The Opportunity**I’m building a B2B SaaS CRM and Sales Automation Tool for small businesses, agents, consultants, freelancers, and other solopreneurs.
The initial idea came from my own experiences. I’ve always had various side-businesses, and use a CRM to help me run and grow said businesses. I’ve always been dissatisfied with the tools that are currently out there.
I spoke to people like me and found that they too had similar issues. From there, I’ve developed an initial customer list and go-to-market plan centered around key partnerships, referrals, and cold email.
I believe this product could be the foundation for a business worth at least $12 million in the next three years. From there, we could sell the business for that amount (or more).
We could also coast and continue running the business into perpetuity with all the time and location freedom that it allows, since a $12 million SaaS business would imply around $2 million in annual recurring revenue (based on average historical B2B SaaS EV / Revenue multiples).
Given the rise and hype around AI, there is also an opportunity here to leverage the customer base to test demand for add-on products around AI.
I don’t think we should raise outside funding (friends and family I’m open to). This way, we get to keep our equity and independence, pay ourselves accordingly, and take the business where we see fit.
I understand that this opportunity comes with some risk.
So why am I doing this? Why do I think this is worth investing my time and money in?
Some things in our favor:
- I have a combined 10+ years experience in the domain I am building in and deeply understand the problems the customer base is trying to solve.
- Aside from being my own customer, I’ve had many conversations with the target market and have an initial list of prospects.
- The market for the product is large with lots of competition. The product category and feature-set is well-defined. This is good, because this means we know that people will pay for the kind of thing we’re building, and product requirements are better understood and defined compared to a less mature market.
- I have a strong understanding of the features needed for an MVP, documented in a product requirements doc.
- I have initial mockups.
- I have experience being an early stage contributor in B2B SaaS and leading a company to exit.
- Once a customer base is built, we can test demand for AI products
Lastly, I don’t plan to raise institutional money beyond a friends and family round. This will let us scale profitably by putting the customer first.
**
You**You’ll be responsible for all technical aspects of the business, primarily the creation and maintenance of the web application, from mockups to MVP to production. I’m at the very beginning of the process, though as described above I have a clear vision for the business and product.
Since this is a startup, every co-founder will end up fulfilling many roles and doing a variety of things, but here is a more structured list of your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the web application end-to-end, from mockups to MVP and beyond
- Deliver responsive, high-performance, and compelling user interfaces
- Lead the development and implementation of the technical aspects of the startup
The obvious requirement is proven experience in software development, with understanding and experience in building a web application from mockups to working product. Ideally, you know what it takes to scale the application to thousands of users.
If you’ve done some or all of the following, you’ll likely be a good candidate from a technical perspective:
- Built and deployed projects that were used by lots of people
- Built B2B SaaS products
- Built integrations with platforms like G Suite, Zapier, Salesforce, SendGrid, and the like
- Worked with architectures that support multiple APIs
- Worked with production-level databases, handling millions of records
- Worked on high-volume email sync and storage
- Worked on a VOIP product and/or a power dialer
What is equally, if not more, important is your character. I want to work with people who are independent and can listen, empathize, and navigate disagreement productively and with kindness. You have empathy for the customer and the ability and patience to navigate all the ups and downs of a startup.
While it wouldn’t be your main responsibility, a sense of business acumen is important as well. We’ll be working on defining roadmap together, after all.
We’ll be spending a substantial amount of time together, so our values should align. Some things I value are kindness, fairness, transparency, meaningful work, and personal freedom.
Beyond that, I don't care where or how you work. Just be responsive and able to make meetings. You are your own person, and I trust you to make the best decisions for your life and the business.
By joining me, you'll have a chance to have a significant impact on a business that, if successful, will give you time and location freedom. Along the way, you'll be doing meaningful work with people you enjoy being around.
**
Equity will be assumed equal split and adjusted accordingly.**Thanks for reading this, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

About unshETH.xyz:
unshETH Labs was founded in January 2023 to further decentralization of the Ethereum network via the creation of novel LSDfi primitives. The unshETH Labs team is responsible for the development of the unshETH protocol, and serves as one of the stewards of the nascent LSDfi space, which it is actively working to grow.
unshETH is a transformative element within the Ethereum (ETH) ecosystem, designed to bolster its resilience, accessibility, and resistance to censorship. As a new DeFi primitive, unshETH encourages validator decentralization by stimulating competition among ETH liquid staking protocols, with the ultimate goal of delivering the best ETH staking experience to millions of users. The mission of unshETH is straightforward: incentivize decentralization by lowering liquidity costs for liquid staking protocols. Through incentive engineering, unshETH seeks to distribute capital across the Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) ecosystem in a way that prioritizes validator decentralization. Launched in February 2023, unshETH paved the way for a new category of DeFi protocols, known as LSDfi.
LSDfi represents a novel category of DeFi primitives that are constructed atop LSDs. The purpose of LSDfi is to foster markets focused on staking yields, validator monopolies, slashing risks, and even validator censorship. LSDfi paves the way for various applications including validator decentralization mining, validator dominance options, interest rate swaps, yield speculation, and efficient risk pricing. These mechanisms enable users to leverage the unique properties of LSDs, and can also be employed to enhance healthy competition among validators and prevent the monopolization of the consensus layer.
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Smart Contract Engineer with solid experience in Solidity programming, deploying production-grade smart contracts, and comprehensive understanding of Ethereum blockchain and the DeFi ecosystem. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and execute our technology strategy, deliver robust, secure, and efficient code, and contribute to the overall growth of the DeFi space.
Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and deploy Solidity smart contracts on the Ethereum mainnet.
- Use frameworks such as Foundry and Hardhat for smart contract testing and deployment.
- Work closely with our development team to integrate our platform with other DeFi protocols.
- Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency and security.
- Help shape the strategy and future of our DeFi protocol.
- Contribute to and maintain our Node.js and TypeScript codebase.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing software.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

- Proactively seek clarification or guidance when necessary to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
- Collaborate with team members, including backend developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly front end interfaces using TypeScript, GraphQL, and React.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Front End Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, GraphQL, and React, with demonstrable experience developing robust front end applications.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Apollo server, Sequelize + Postgresql, and Elastic Beanstalk.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, ensuring that tasks and project requirements are not overlooked or delayed.
We offer a competitive salary package, a dynamic and challenging work environment, and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge Fintech projects that leverage interesting and innovative technologies to solve intricate and difficult problems.
